Large parking bay at Inverskilavulin bridge. Forest track, then made the dumb mistake of turning right about 100 metres too early on the forest track. Over the bridge, then turned left, there following a horrible fight with forestry emerging at the deer fence at about 270m asl. Up typical grassy tussocky ground to find the helpful ATV track. Soft snow from about 500m asl, in places quite deep, but surprisingly was able to follow boot prints to the top though I didn't see anyone. Returned all the way down the ATV track which led to a good bridge and a muddy track back to the main forest track. Damp, thick drizzle, very little wind, very mild, cloud in the glen and above 450m asl. | Owen B | 15/02/2024 |
With Bolton, CJM & Jill.
Hill is much more impressive than map suggests.

Parked at the bridge at Inverskilavulin. Through the signposted route in the forest and then a good ATV track. Easy going after that. Clear, cold but very dry! With Jill R, Ger and CM. Just over 4 hours. | bolton | 29/11/2023 |

Parked by bridge at Inverskilavulin. Followed signed track through forest, then R on grassy path (post set back) to join new logging track later rough ATV track. R over bridge and followed ATV track intermittently to summit. Unusual view of Fort William. | MichaelF | 23/05/2023 |
With Lesley. Very slow circuit of Course an Lichtuin, the south side of which was hard going tussocks and steep heather descent. Return by ATV track used for ascent would have been much better. | Nick Canute | 20/04/2023 |
Large parking area in Glen Loy by the bridge. Signposted route through the forest then over footbridge and up grassy ridge. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 06/04/2023 |
New Garmin GPS placed top way too far from co-ordinates. Not sure if GLONASS enabled during a war was correct thing to do! Ignore google maps, there's now lots of parking near the bridge. | Jhimmy | 28/04/2022 |
As others from Glen Loy. Rain and hill fog. | chrisbien | 20/09/2021 |

Followed SMC route following routemarkers nitially then up steep quad track after crossing footbridge. Rain initially the views opened up, continued to west top and pillar. Spotted Alex and Tony in the distance but paths did not cross. | cjo | 18/09/2021 |
In mist when staying at Moorings Hotel for RHSoc dinner. Via Annat, back by Glen Laragain. 20K. | davechaffey | 17/09/2021 |
A great short walk. The way through the forest has multiple way markers, so you can't get lost and the SMC's hidden bridge is in plain view for those who look for it, though it's getting a little bit past its prime. The ATV track goes a long way up the hill, so it's an easy but mucky and wet walk. It was T-shirt weather all the way to the summit, despite it being November. Splendid views. | Gill | 09/11/2020 |
From Glen Loy as per SMC guide book. As others have commented route is now very well-signposted. | benalder284 | 15/08/2020 |

Direct line back to Annat, wide break through trees to rejoin track at NN090798. Unlocked gates through deer fences. | alda | 15/08/2019 |
From Glen Loy road end west along good track then SSW up ridge in deepish snow to Druim Fada west top. Then very pleasantly east to Stob a Ghrianain, great views of Ben Nevis, best I have seen. Direct descent not possible in conditions so headed further east along ridge past some very attractive wind blown ice formations for just over 1 km before cutting down via Puitachean and back to car. | dickscroop | 28/01/2019 |
From Glen Loy, through Puiteachean. Careful, the black spaniel bit me. Hot, sunny, calm, melted. | iangalbraith | 04/07/2018 |

From Fassfern, along ridge to trig, Graham revisit, then Graham-top-bagged my way N across 2 valleys then back via Gulvain and Aodainn Chleirig. Hadn't bothered to check the total ascent beforehand - 2500m - took a while... | RHW | 26/08/2012 |

This felt like a hill too far. I was kna, er very tired. | IanHHill | 26/05/2012 |
Sign near bridge implies path through forest to summit, not true and breach of Access code. Involves climbing over double deer fence too. Coming back I headed for Puiteachan, worked around high locked gate and used the track. | Martin R | 15/03/2012 |

Parked at Puiteachan in Glen Loy. On track to new bridge, around back of house, by side of electrified cattle fence uphill over very rough stuff, churned by cattle. To open moor west of forest to cross a new deer fence at its junction with the new cattle fence. Why don't they build stiles? Onto grass for last 500' on a 45 degree slope with stone runs and to top at 11.55. A few stones marked the top. Magnificent stone man visible from the glen, not at the top. Fort William scarring the views. Better views from a cairn to SE. My 200th Graham. Ptarmigan. | arranc | 06/07/2009 |

Solo. Left the car where track to Puiteachan leaves the road. I ascended to the summit of Druim Fada (744m). On the way back down the glen a vehicle pulled off the road to let me pass and went into a ditch. | pwbellarby | 25/07/1999 |
Round of Grahams and Corbetts from Fassfern. Afterwards, skidding down, nice farmer pulled the car out of a ditch. | Eddie | 30/01/1998 |
