Parked in the car park at the end of the road ar 68309 45423 and did a loop to include the two remaining tops in this area Foel Ddu and Craig Stwlan Un. Not the easiest route once the tracks had been left but enjoyable in spite of all the derelict buildings and spoil heaps. | clivevilla | 16/12/2021 |

8 mile circular from minor road south of Croesor, walked down to Croesor then good path up side of Cwm Croesor to the ghostly Rhosydd quarry, from there followed footpath south and traversed grassy slopes onto Foel Ddu, then onto Moel-Yr-Hydd, from here we headed SW past the big quarrying hole and up steep grass slopes to Moelwyn Mawr, from here headed down steeply onto Craigysgafn, then interesting rocky descent down to Bwlch Stylan, up onto Moelwyn Bach then back down to car. Great weather with amazing views of every high peak in Snowdonia and all the way along Cardigan Bay, Moelwyn Mawr is probably my favourite view in Snowdonia, considering it was a sunny sunday there were only a few people about. Afterwards drove to and bagged Y Garnedd and Carreg Y Foel-Gron. | DanTrig | 12/07/2020 |

From layby off A496 near Tan-y-grisiau. 6th of 6 summits in clockwise circuit of the Moelwyns. Easy route continuing from Moel-yr-Hydd. Full view of the quarries from summit. Lleyn Peninsula finally cleared of most of the fog that had been sat there all morning so was able to see it. | muzza2 | 06/07/2018 |

3/7. Didn't expect much of this hill but as the top is on the edge of a cliff you get fabulous bird eye views on to Cwmorthin. Descended down the slope from the col between here and Moel-yr hydd to the southern end of the lake and then on to Tanygrisiau and eventually the Oakley Arms, taking in a few Tumps on the way. | Herbert Anchovy | 10/04/2015 |
similar route to previous poster - just with better spelling. this is a superb viewpoint. no cairn marking the top but the view over rhosydd to cnicht and the view the other way down cwmorthin make this worth the visit alone. | stig_nest | 20/08/2014 |
Craig Stwlan, Molwyn Bach, Craigysgafn, Molwyn Mawr, Molwyn Mawr North Ridge, Moel-yr-ydd and Foel Ddu.

Very low cloud and no visibility until end of walk. Must repeat in the sun as very nice terrain/route. | fellowsa | 28/06/2014 |
