|3/3 - then further ascend over more snow and broken ground to 3rd Munro summit - again the descent is tricky in snow. Also took in Sgurr nan Saighead then descended and walked out via the long Allt a' Chruinn valley. Sting in the tail is the prolonged stepped descent down to the village||wychwood||04/03/2019|

|Cairngorm Club overnight meet. With Eilidh Scobbie and Marj Ewan. After ascending Sgurr nan Spainteach and Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe from Bealach an Lapain. We continued to the summit of Sgurr na Carnach 21:40 and then Sgurr Fhuaran, reached at 23:00. On ascending the latter we met a runner coming down who was attempting to do the South Cluanie Ridge and the North as well in 24 hours. There were three others with him. This did not seem very sensible given the forecast of bad weather. By now it was getting difficult to see. We descended and slightly above the col with Sgurr nan Saighead stopped at 23:30 and made a bivvy for the night. It was a stony and windy spot. Forecasts had been variable. I had expected much rain in the evening, but in fact there were only a few drops of rain towards the end. At 05:00 we set off again, descending down the glen NE.||pwbellarby||21/06/2008|
|With Will, Morvich to A87 & hitching down the road.||Grinner||07/06/2008|
|From Shiel Bridge I ascended Beinn Bhuidhe, Sgùrr nan Saighead and Sgùrr Fhuaran. As arranged I met a friend on the summit of Sgùrr Fhuaran. She had got there sometime earlier but had a bivvy shelter with her. We decided there was not enough time to continue over Sgùrr na Carnach so went back down the WNW ridge of Sgùrr Fhuaran ,the way she came up. However, we found a somewhat better way to Shield Bridge through the bracken and wetness that fills the glen bottom.||pwbellarby||17/08/2007|
