Drove up forest road and parked at very wide crossroad junction before Succoth Lodge. Under railway bridge then meandering forest road to edge of forest, east of the hill. Over deer fence and river then up grassy slopes to the Old GR summit. Very hot with swarms of flies and cleggs. With Jill.Dangerous Dave13/06/2023

Standard route from A85 at the start of the Succoth forestry track. Disappointingly drizzly, cloud base at 550m. Then on to Bhalgairean. With PJ, AJ, TH, JD.Owen B11/02/2023
Corryghoil - Succoth - boggy forest track - new track up firebreak - Meall nan Gabbar -Meall nan Tighearn - west to forest - tracks - Beinn Bhalgairean - back to forest - tracks - Corryghoildavidpettit8411/10/2022
Parked opposite bridge to Succoth Lodge. Up main track to 220245. Mapped direct track SW is horribly overgrown so NW on logging track then first obvious branch SE before piles of road materials, then curves to SW to junction with obvious rougher track which branches down at 216244ish to join old grassy track (clear, in use here) down and up to open gate 216239-ish, then to Meall nan Gabhar. Back the same way to 216244, then SW on logging track continuing SW on old rough track then short obvious side track NW to open gate at 211240-ish then up Beinn Bhalgairean, faint path comes and goes. Dodged under the fence at obvious strainer/stream approx 208241, then to top. Track seems to be quiet before 9.30 and after 3.30 but you will meet trucks if you try driving to Succoth Lodge in between those times. Easy but fairly dull hills spoiled by industrial forestry and pylons.Gill26/09/2022

From A82 opposite Glen Falloch farm, up hydro track to sheepfold at NN261224 then across tussocky grass, on to Meall nan Tighearn and to summit. Air quality very clear and first class views in all directions: Ben Cruachan, Arrochar, Ben More, Ben Nevis and Arran. Very cold!MichaelF31/03/2022

MC alone. Parked short of junction to Succoth Lodge before first gate that's capable of being locked. SPEN electrical work ongoing. New track being driven up by the OHL. Easily seen from the summit. Climbed deer fence to get onto open hill. Climbed all three high points. On to B. Bhalgairean via head of the forest and shillings.Martin6622/08/2021
Succoth Lodge track to NN2216242 then scrambled through cut trees and forest over to a gate which opened out to the hillside to the summit. Note the tracks have been upgraded facilitating cycling but rerouted making navigation difficult! Point 743 bagged to future proof!BaggerGutt15/08/2021
Large track from besides the railway near Succoth Lodge, then over the deer fence and straight up to the summit ridge. Meall nan Gabhar old and new and Meall nan Tighearn bagged in straightforward order, reversing the route for home. Once back on the forestry-electric track we met a couple walking their cat on a lead, and they kindly gave us a ride on the back of their truck back to the car.summitter12/08/2021
With K&A from 220244. Best on Sundays/Bank hols when forestry and powerline operations not working. Found path to gate then on to Meall nan Tighearn, Meall nan Gabhar, MnG old top and cairned viewpoint. Steep descent to NE to return by new and existing tracks. 1st visit since 2006lordtonult04/07/2021

Parked just off A85. Walked via SMC book route past Succoth Lodge. New tracks along pylon line. Onwards to the graham to the west, navigating by visual clues to route.willyross26/05/2021

We didn't see the track that heads SW from NN21987 24630. Instead we stayed on the forest road south, until just before it crosses the Allt Coire Lair. Then SW along the right-hand side of the fence, and through the gate at NN 216 239. Back the same way.Pete R17/04/2021
Parked near the bridge before Succoth Lodge. Took the main track to the crossroads at 220246, then a grassy ramp East into the trees, where an overgrown track leads to a gate in the deer fence at 216239, although I was able to walk over the top of the fence on a snow drift. Thence to the NW viewpoint top on the ridge, followed by MnG old and new tops and MnT.Nick Down106/03/2021

Solo. From the start of the forest road from the A85 to Succoth along forest roads. Used the gate mentioned by 49pp. Track to gate starts at forest road junction at NN220246. Visited both old Marilyn summit location and new one. On way back found a connection from track to gate to the forest road to the west. Nice day with good views, especially Ben Cruachan.pwbellarby19/09/2020
