Brutal, but good day up Toll Creagach (1054m) my 201st Munro, plus its Toll Creagach West Top (951m). From the Chisholme Bridge car park in Glen Affric, up the good track to the new hydro intake at NH 1945 259, then continued along incredibly boggy path to the foot of the Allt Toll Easa. Up into Toll Easa, thick fresh snow above 650m, the winds were strong from the bealach. Traversing the munro top plateau was chilly, but the final pull-up to the Munro was intense with the wind. But an enjoyable fast descent through the deep snow back due south to the hydro intake, with some great views.chillyman803/03/2024

Stravaigers weekend at Hilton Highland Lodge, Tomich. Frances, Colin & Sheila S, (Linda S) and Jane G, Catriona, Colin & Sandra D were also with us at the start. Linda's knee was bothering her as soon as we started the serious uphill on the stalker's path, she stopped as was going to go back. the rest of us carried on and stopped for lunch below the col. Jane, Catriona, Colin & Sandra opted to do Toll Creagach only. Frances, Sheila & Colin and I carried on to Tom a'Choinich where to our surprise we met Linda who had found a knee brace and come up the ridge instead! The regrouped 4 returned to the col, then onto Toll Creagach and then more or less directly back to the path, returned to the car, drove back to the lodge and stopped the others calling the police to search for Linda. We had our evening meal in the Tomich Hotel (PS: Linda's route of ascent is in fact the one shown in the Munro guide book)langskill03/05/2014
