Gorse outflanked by rough path from gate on minor road to SW. Standing newly and starkly alone in the middle of nowhere close by to the S is Glithno - a unique development, to quote the developers, of 9 luxury (large) houses centred around a communal green, with seating and a barbecue area. A clever return for the developers from a patch of once rough moorland -serving most likely the affluent oil and gas related workers of Aberdeen who now have a quicker commute from this rural spot on the nearby newly opened Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. Less smart is their near neighbour Coneyhatch scrapheap / car repair 'garage' spread across several fields with all manner of decaying vehicles and bits of stuff. I don't think they have a central green with barbecue? | Chris Pearson | 20/09/2019 |
