Logged Descriptions  (logged by 245 users)ByDate of Ascent
Room for car at 319197. Good hydro track to 297182 and then SW on east side of burn to the Loch. Direct ascent to summit with D.Dave. Descended to North edge of Loch for the Dodd.bolton11/03/2024
Parking for one car outside locked gate off A82, Glen Falloch. Good track over railway bridge to dam in Lairaig Arnan. Up left side of stream to outflow of Lochan Beinn Dhamain. Steep climb up to left of summit. With bolton.Dangerous Dave11/03/2024
Meall an Fhudair & Beinn Damhain from A82. Ascended track, taking branch right above pylon line. Where track curved West, took a direst line up the rough terrain to Troisgeach, then across to Meall nan Caora, then dropped back down to around 650m before the final pull up to Fhudair's summit. Nothing to see due to clag, so descended on tussocky ground S to the Allt na Lairig, then directly up to the summit of Beinn Damhain. Descended E to LOchan Beinn Damhain, then north to gain track and followed that back to junction above pylon line, and back down to A82. Total time: 5h 35minmproudfoot09/09/2023
After Meall an Fhudair, aimed up burn to the right of it's north face. Wasn't as steep as it looked. Found the top easy enough, but the descent was tricky, rocky and rough. Aimed for the bridge to the North East, which to can just about see before the wood.Jhimmy19/03/2023
Track from Glen Falloch, burn to lochan, bits of scrambling on outcrops. Descended north to go up Meall Fhudair. Both hills hard going, slow today. Solo. Good views.Nick Canute25/02/2023
Track from Glen Falloch and up the NE ridgedavidpettit8414/10/2022
From Meall an Fhudair. Descended to a point slightly west of point 382 on reasonably good ground. The Graham looks fearsomely steep from this angle, but it's an optical illusion, turns out it's a straightforward moderately steep grassy ascent on good ground. The initial descent off the summit is on awkward bouldery, heathery ground but it soon relents, although progress is not quick or obvious through the morass of hummocks. Once back on the track very easy back to Glen Falloch.Owen B18/09/2022
Parking was difficult, in the end tucked it in at the end of the rough road (NN 320 198), to the side of the cattle grid but not causing an obstruction. Then back along the road to Glen Falloch Farm where no parking is allowed, climbed over the locked gate and up the Hydro electric road to a small cairn at NN 310 199, from there a very hit and miss track goes up the NE ridge to Troisgeach. A delightful knoll and lochan trek takes one to the main summit of the Corbett, Meall an Fhudair. From here a fairly easy slope down to the bealach near .382, followed by a stiff but straightforward climb to the Graham, Beinn Damhain. Then a long curve keeping to the high ground round to the HF, Garabal Hill. Finally, an easy descent to the bridge over Allt Arnan at NN 296 181 and the hydro road back down. Mostly pathless but great 360 degree all round views (especially of Beinn Bhuide), so the 19km round with 1300m ascent took just short of 7 hours.silveracorn_alan24/08/2022
The perfect antidote to trudging up grassy Luss hills - a gem of a proper hill on a glorious sunny day. Easy walk up to the dam, then off piste up the E bank, then W bank of burn, heading W up a rib before the cascades. Across flat moor to steeper ground towards summit, finally L up to a shelf, then R up a slab-bounded gully to the top. Fine views. Back same way, but mainly on E side of burn.Gill19/03/2022

Starting from gate opposite Glen Falloch farm, rode/pushed bike to end of track, walked up E ridge. Brilliant views of surrounding Munros. Whizzed down track in 20 minutes. Fatter tyres would make it quicker.IanHHill04/06/2021

Beinn Damhain and Maol Breac from Glen Falloch. Good track to small hydro dam then trackless ground. Very hot sunny day but pleasant breeze on tops. Good views to Arrochar Alps.RobertP25/08/2019
Single parking space at bottom of hydro track. When reached dam, headed straight for summit. Just over 2 hours up.willyross07/06/2019

Solo. From Inverarnan. Along road to start of track at NN319197, then up track. Given a lift part way up track by some construction workers. At track fork walked along track going SW to its end at a water intake. Went up the hill along the burn coming down from Lochan Beinn Daimh. Then ascended NE ridge of Beinn Daimh to reach the summit. Highest point is 3m SW of cairn. Descended N to col near a lochan and then went E to join my outward route which was followed back to Inverarnan. My descent route from the summit was not the best as the ground is rough and tussocky. Dry but some mist high up.pwbellarby31/08/2018

With GHC instead of the Corbett across the glen. Easy but boggy conditions. Good views from an impressive top.Play2End14/08/2016
With Phil. Staying at Crianlarich Hotel. Circuit starting up the track from Glenfalloch Farm. Route : B. Damhain-Meall an Fhudair - Meall nan Caora - Troisgeach. Lots of mice holes, some deer. Tea at Drovers Inn.sarahk25/03/2016
With Vic. From Glen Falloch. Then Garabal Hill.ngthack19/03/2016
With Jenx from Glen Falloch, used WB track to high point then the burn line to gain soggy height. Out over the tops keep to a southerly line to avoid to much up and down. Back down taking in Garabal Hill.nordicstar25/08/2015
After Troisgeach & Meall an Fhudair. I noticed when driving past on 26/04/17 that parking is no longer possible opposite Glen Falloch Farm.duchally02/04/2015
2nd attempt on Beinn Damhain (NN 281173) S/F NN 319196 Much better visibility this year with only patchy snow making walking easier. Reached final approach to sumit but decided against climb due possible difficulty of descent on wet slushy snow and rock. Have identified less steep route by ascent of west ridge. Frequent showers, of snow on higher ground, breezy and cold.John Young01/02/2015

RBS HWC outing; walked on my own; wet all day with cloud level down to 450-500 m; on outward leg I discovered that my compass was broken and my mobile phone was malfunctioning as a result of getting wet; I managed to get the compass needle back on the compass, but it was not truly swinging freely; I had to carry the compass horizontal in my hand all day until back out of the clouds (I had continued uphill to teh summit despite the compass problem); there was a false summit followed by a steep pull onto the true top; I was back at the bus by 1500, dried and changed, then into the pub (The Drovers Inn, Inverarnan) for beers, whisky and folk singing.langskill24/09/2006
