Cluanie Munros 5 peaker - Steven Fallon route | hummusg | 18/06/2023 |
Up from Lundie to Carn Ghluasaid on good stalkers path then over Creag a Chaorainn and on to the large cairn and wind shelter on Sgurr nan Conbhairean. Super view point but midges were terrible so I didn’t hang around on to Sail Chaorainn. Summit looked like rocky rib as opposed to the cairn. Then walked out to Carn na Coire Mheadhoin. Visited the cairn but this was clearly lower than the unmarked high point. Returned and took bypass path around Conbhairean to summit of Drochaid an Tuill Easaich. Managed to have lunch here as sun was out and midges had disappeared. Descent down Meall Breac. Dip in stream and walk back on old military road. Time taken 7 hours 5 minutes for 12.5 miles and 4278 feet of ascent. | isabelle | 02/06/2023 |

Circuit of Carn Ghluasaid, Creag a'Chaorainn, Sgurr nan Convhairean, Sail Chaorain, Drochaid an Tuill Easaich | Geoff Briggs | 30/05/2019 |
We started on bikes along Glen Afric and Kintail trail. Dry day our intent was to shin up Sail Chaorainn. We decided to combine the ascent with Sgurr Nan Conbair Ean completing the circuit by descending Drochaid an Tuill Easaich. The walk down the valley back to the bikes took sometime. We reached the Alt Beith SYHA by 10.45. A welcome sight after an 8 hour trip on bikes and foot. | david.walker40 | 19/05/2019 |

Climbed solo. Exceptionally fine, warm, weather and dry underfoot. From Lundie (Loch Cluanie) to Old Military Road to stalkers path (excellent) all the way up Carn Ghluasaid. To Craig a Chaorainn, to Sgurr nan Conbhairean, to Sail Chaorainn. Return to Sgurr nan Conbhairean (skirted summit at 1050m contour). SW ridge to Drochaid an Tuill Easaich. S ridge to Meall Breac. Descend steep east slopes to Allt Coire nan Clach. Return to Lundie via stalkers path and old military road. Fine walk with extensive views of Kintail, Knoydart, Affric and south to Ben Nevis on a clear day. Fairly easy too in good conditions. Grassy/stony ridges with dramatic corries to the north and east (hidden from road). | jamessteel100 | 25/07/2018 |

Missed ticking this hill before as a winter storm hit when we reached Sgurr nan Conbhairean and we had to run away. So I had to work out a way of doing this one on its own. Parked at Ceannacroc Bridge 228108 and cycled in to the bridge at 180148. Unfortunately this is currently a large construction site for a hydro electric scheme. Large plastic pipes are being laid up all three glens, presumably because the engineers are worried the water wont run down hill. When the pipes are buried I suppose it will all be low key but I wouldnt recommend the circuit of An Reithe, Sail Chaorainn S & N tops, Tigh Mor na Salge and Beinn an Tomaire until its all finished. To top it all it was low cloud so I didn't see much and of course it cleared as I cycled back the car. | mindlessflogger | 24/05/2016 |

Done as a part of a 3 munro day with Hazel and Gordon. Turned into a bit of an epic when wind tripled in strength, visibility vanished and planned descent route turned out a lot tougher than planned thanks to the full winter conditions. | jonbowyer | 03/01/2015 |
