From Glenuaig Lodge.Peterb23/05/2023
Maoile Lunndaidh (actual summit currently Creag Toll a' Choin) from Achnashellach on foot. The early winter snow had all but melted and temps were well above freezing so it wasn't the winter walk I expected. Set off from Achnashellach at 7am in the dark, head torch easily lighting the track ahead. Was light enough to turn the head torch off by 8:30am, and reached the jump off point before Glenuig Lodge by 9am. What followed was a fairly horrible boggy trudge across to the two waterfalls (Am Crom-allt / Allt an Fhuar-thuill Bhig) at around 385m and then a steep 420m ascent up the wet heather to just over the 800m mark where it became less steep. After that it was just a grassy/mossy walk up to Carn Nam Fiaclan. Views were ok - conditions clear, but all of the summits up here are big flat plateau-like areas so it kind of ruins any views. Walked on up to the actual summit Creag Toll a' Choin, where the tiny cairn was buried under a small patch of residual snow, and then headed on umproudfoot31/12/2021
Solo, running fr Craig, glorious sunny day w great views as low clouds cleared. Easy running across this plateau, top of the world!NorfolkPT2122/07/2021
Carn nam Fiaclan, Creag Toll a' Choin and Maoile Lunndaidh from Craigrhalstead26/06/2021
A 33.5km, 3 Munro epic at Glenuig, climbing Sgurr Choinnich, Sgurr a' Chaorachain & Maoile Lunndaidh. Tricky with 45mph gusts but a cracking day out.Chris Mac13/04/2019

From Craig, walk/cycle to Pollan Buidhe, then walk to near Glenuaig Lodge, then across valley and up N ridge of Carn nam Fiaclan to summit, continuing to Creag Toll a'Choin and Maoile Lunndaidh, returning to Carn nam Fiaclan, descent of Fuar-tholl Beag to Drochaid Mhuilich, bivvyed by stream from corrie loch, then to summit of Sgurr a' Chaorachain via Sron na Frianich, return trip out to Bidean an Eoin Deirg, then across to Sgurr Choinnich, descending to Bealach Bhearnais and along path in valley back to Pollan Buidhe and thence to Craig.kdbennett18/05/2018

RBS HWC May weekend at Torridon; I rose early and left the YH at 0700, I stopped several times along the Kinlochewe road to take photos; I parked at Craig, assembled my bike and left the car park at 0815; I pushed the bike up the hill in towards Maoile Lunndaidh feeling rough (too much breakfast); I left the shed / bothy at about 10.00, cross the river and headed across very rough ground before a steep ascent towards teh minor top; the tranverse to the Maoile Lunndaidh summit was simple as the visibility was ok, although cloud cover closed in on the main summit; I descended to the col and then headed back across rough ground (not as bad on descent) to the bike; I had to get off and push on occasions on the way out but the final downhill section was well worth the effort. Back at the car by 1610 (a commendable 8 hours).langskill23/05/2015

Solo. If this is now a Marilyn then it should be restored as a Munro! This hill was an Original Munro and was on all revised lists up to 1974!Dangerous Dave10/06/2010
From Craig, with Ben-Ji in cloud. Forced up western side of western valley by swollen stream to col at SW end up on to Maoile Lunndaidh plateau, over all tops and back. Steeply up north side of Bidean an Eoin Dearg W to Sgurr a'Chaorachain and on to Sgurr Choinnich. Back north in the dark for three hours back to Craig.vegibagger28/10/2009

Walked in 9km from Craig and set up camp at Bealach. Following day completed Beinn Dearg, Cona Mheall, Meal nan Ceapraichean, Eididh nan Clach Geala, Am Faochagach + 1 Top, returning to camp, 26.3kn 2320m in 12.5hr. The following day completed Biden a Choire Shieasgaich, Lurg Mhor +1 Top returning to camp, 15.2km 1320m 10.5hr, then returned back to car.JamesSDonald26/07/2008
Bearnais bothy, Sgurr Choinnich, Sgurr a Chaorachain, Biden an Eoin Dearg and over this to old summit. Saw Dottrell. Back to Bearnais bothy over all the tops to avoid horseflies in the valley. This hill is still Maoile Lunndaidh as Craig toll a choin is the cliff, not the top.Flatfield25/07/2006

Cycled from Craig to Glenuaig Lodge plantation. After a brief miserable squelch across a moor we then had good walking in a magnficent mountain setting, essentially round the Fuar-tholls as we went up the fine W ridge of Carn nam Fiaclan. Sleet showers that abated while we were on the summit plateau. A really good day. With Pete, my brother.pwheeler25/05/2006

RS. MTB from Craig to Glenuaig Lodge then N ridge of Maoile Lunndaidh, Sgurr a'Chaorachain, Sgurr a'Coinnich & Sgurr a'Chaorachain. Descent by Sron na Frianich. Overcast & cool with hill fog, showers & brief brighter intervals.Vin23/10/2000
After walking over Sgurr Choinnich, Sgurr a'Chaorachain & Bidean an Eoin Dearg with Smithy on a hot sunny day from Craig, Smithy returned the same way, while I got greedy & headed down the long spur & worked my round Loch Mhuilich. Maoile Lunndaidh now looked a long way up but there wasn't an alternative, so slogged up the fine S ridge to the dome summit. Sun had gone in & the view was hazy but quite a good way of doing the hill. Descended N then more steeply NW to pick up the path leading back to Craig.NotReallyABagger03/09/2000

After climbing Moruisg and Sgùrr nan Ceannaichean. From summit of latter descended SE. Crossed the track to Glenuaig Lodge and the An Crom-allt to ascend steeply to the end of the flat topped west ridge of Carn nam Fiaclan. We ascended to the top of Carn nam Fiaclan, over the deleted top (once the Munro*) and so to Maoile Lunndaidh. By now it was extremely windy. We descended by the NW ridge to reach Glenuaig Lodge, walked along track westwards and northwards and then via Coire an t-Seilich to the car at NH081521. *Note added 2015: Now the Marilyn but not yet declared to be Munro again.pwbellarby26/06/1993

Following the summit relocation in 2014 I checked my Munro diary and I am satisfied that I went over the summit on the way from Sgurr a'Chaorachain to Maoile Lunndaidh. Ergo claimed with no immediate plans to go back there.Topographer5715/06/1990

With John from Pollan Buidhe but cannot remember which direction. I have a memory of ascending the 'ridge'. Another to ask John. SS28/05/1988
Alone. I set off very early from a bivvy near the track beside Allt a' Chonais, going to Glenuaig Lodge. I crossed the shoulder of Sron na Frianich and across An Crom-allt to go steeply up to end of flat W ridge of Carn nam Fiaclan. I reached Creag Toll a’ Choin at 05:20 and Maoile Lunndaidh at 05:30. The descent was by the broad NW ridge to Glenuaig Lodge and back to Craig. There was a lot of rain on the descent.pwbellarby09/05/1987

With Ron from Pollan Buidhe going up stalkers path then along ridge to fine top at end. A short return brought us down very steep 'ridge' to Drochaid Mhuilich then fairly straightfoward ascent to plateau. Return was by northern flank and corrie. SS19/06/1983
