From A817 at Ballyvoulin Farm: Auchengaich Hill, Beinn Tharsuinn, Beinn Chaorach and Balcnock. | TRG318 | 06/03/2024 |

From Beinn a' Mhanaich. Followed the fence all the way, a big help on a wet, windy, foggy day. Generally good going, briefly steep. Descended easily to the dam, then back along the tarred track. | Owen B | 19/08/2023 |
Parked at the forrest Auchengaich Burn, walked up Auchengaich Hill and along the ridge to Beinn Tharsuinn and Beinn Chaorach. Down to the reservoir and back along the track to the car. | Missphoton | 06/08/2023 |

Glen Luss 6 Grahams from Luss | Huwel | 26/03/2023 |
Parked in the layby on the old road in Glen Fruin, opposite the end of the track to the reservoir. Followed track nearly to dam, turning right just before the fence. Path at first which peters out, but traces are forming, direct up to summit on good grass. SSE to Beinn Tharsuinn. | Minto | 22/12/2022 |
From Luss we walked up the Glen Luss road then track to just shy of Gleann na Caorainn, where the track crosses the Luss Water. Straight up to Beinn Chaorach for a loch-tastic view and lunch, then eastwards over Beinn Tharsuinn, Balcnock, Creag an Leinibh and Beinn Ruisg. NE down Ruisg's wide flank to where the Sron an Laoigh and Auchengavin burns meet .... quite a lot of bracken near the bottom to thrash through. After a couple of waterfalls an overgrown track on the west side of the conjoined burn is reached, which in-turn leads to a hard track to Auchengavin house and the minor road back to Luss beyond. Great walk in sunny weather. 5.25 hrs total. | summitter | 24/09/2022 |
from track to reservoir off A817, room for 3 cars before locked gate | Galltywenallt | 08/09/2022 |
From old road in Glen Fruin NS275900 up to reservoir and then NE up to summit. Blue sky and good views in all directions. NW along ridge, drop down to col and up on to Beinn a Mhanaich. | MichaelF | 26/03/2022 |
Beinn a' Maniac, a fitting hill for my 1456th Marilyn. Good parking a few yards up the dam road. Up to and across the dam, then up through the nasty new forestry, dodging R at the first cross trench, L at the second, then up steep mossy grass to pop out on the ridge by a handy gate. Easy track, then path all the way to Maniac. Down and up the N side of the fence to Beinn Chaorach to get down to double figures, followed by a dead easy descent into the midst of a military exercise complete with dummy missiles parked on the dam. Pleasant chat with the CO. | Gill | 15/03/2022 |
With John. Gorgeous clear day. Views as far as the Wallace monument. Saw a stag near the hill top. | Veryhappybunny | 15/10/2021 |
With Julia. Red flags up at start of the day, thankfully down later. | stewartbb | 05/06/2021 |

Round of two Grahams from Glen Fruin | Colin Crawford | 19/11/2020 |
Parked at 274900 on the Glen Fruin road (9:15) and walked to the gate by the reservoir dam. Ascended the ridge above to Beinn Chaorach (10:45). Then followed the fence all the way down to the valley and up Beinn a'Mhanaich to the col just below the summit (12:25). Then S down the ridge to the Strone (no red flags flying) and a steep trackless descent back to the dam. Weather was gorgeous - clear and sunny with long views and clouds in the valleys. Finished 14:05. | dbb | 02/10/2020 |

3of4: From B. Tharsuinn. | ChrisR | 18/11/2018 |
From start of track to reservoir at NS274900. Solo. Warning signs and sight of three bulls caused me to deviate into the field to the east of the track. From near reservoir easy climb to the summit of Beinn Chaorach. Weather really nice so excellent long distance views to Arran and Ailsa Craig. Went over Beinn Tharsuinn and on a track towards Auchengaich Hill before descending down to the reservoir track. Met another walker who assured me the bulls were docile so used the track all the way to the car. The bulls did not budge at all! | pwbellarby | 30/04/2018 |
Beinn Tharsuinn, Beinn Chaorach, Beinn a' Mhanaich from old road to S. Pleasant route but clouds down over tops for much of time. Nice descent down S ridge. | RobertP | 20/12/2017 |
6th hill of 14 today on an epic Horseshoe of the Luss hills starting from the Alderdale B&B and climbing, Cruach Dubh, Beinn Ruisg, Creag an Leinibh, Balcnock and Beinn Tharsuinn, descending and then re-ascending NW to reach summit close to the TRig pillar, I recorded 717m at NS28744 92371. Very windy! Did not dally long so continued NW towards Beinn A'Mhainich. | Dazingdale | 03/10/2017 |

With Jenx, from the head of Glen Luss road, walked the old track all the way to the lonely farm that was Gleann na Caorainn. Followed the Scottish Rights of way track up to col and hacked up the fenceline to summit of a'Mhanaich. Back over neighbouring Graham Beinn Chaorach steeply and out down the top line into the Glen and out all way to Luss village, a good walk. | nordicstar | 08/10/2015 |
