Good parking by the Sletdale Burn bridge in Glen Loth. Up the track to just above the confluence with Allt a' Choire Riabhaich. Was concerned about the crossing after heavy rain earlier in the week and recent showers but got across with only one boot momentarily being overtopped. Up and across Glas Choire onto the plateau with minor peat hags. Cloud base at 450m with intermittent light rain so no reason to hang around, retraced steps.Owen B21/09/2023
In by the most regular Glen Sletdale route - parked at the bridge, through the gate, along the track/ATV and easily over the river. Up the nose of Carn Garbh then along to Meallan Liath Mor and Col-bheinn. Only the wee section from Garbh to Liath Mor a bit boggy - otherwise OK on short veg or by following ATV tracks. I should have gone NE from Col-bheinn into Coire Riabhach and out by Sletdale but fancied a bit of variety so went east across the upper Kintradwell Burn then across the face of the 457m top and Creag a'Chrionach then north of Cnoc na h-Iolaire and over Creag Riabhach to the car. Mistake, it's a long flog across trackless featureless moorland but at least I wasn't going up which would have been even worse.StueyB13/09/2023
Glen Sletdale approach - seems like a forgotten glen.Chris Peart28/04/2023
From Gordonbush. Vague and unwelcoming SSE sign at start of track but assumed this was just meant for vehicles. Didn't spot the crash site - perhaps hidden in the snow patches. Vast turbine site with ongoing work so glad I chose a Sunday.danpquinn22/01/2023

Glen Loth, parked beside the old bus at the bridge. Atv track to 912132, crossed river there, easy, August and dry, climbed Cean Garbh first, back over SE ridge. Hideous terrain and found two coiled adders.iangalbraith03/08/2021
From Glen Loth Road - track into Glen Sletdale - rise up Meall a Phiobaire - yomp over to Col-Bheinn 542m and its trig at 538m - bagged Carn Garbh as we returned before dropping back down into Glen Sletdale - a huge space and only us.briandavies20/09/2020

From Gordonbush 844097, track joins windfarm roads and goes to 400m then on foot over Meallan Liath Beag to Marilyn. Returned over Meallan Liath Mor and swift descent on bike to start. 20k.NormanW20/07/2020
Track up Glen Sletdale starting at high gate continues around corner then deer tracks. Crossed river via island just south of confluence, then up south ridge to west top and across plateau to main summit.Topographer5724/07/2019
Clockwise circuit of the 9 tumps round Glen Sletdale. Started too late at 9:30am so descent off last one (Creag a' Bhodaich) in the dark.Dave McG27/12/2018
A glorious sunny day with good snow on the tops. The standard route from Glen Loth. Parked by the cattle grid, climbed the padlocked deer gate, up the ATV track, and then snow to the summit of Beinn Dhorain. Descent into Glen Sletdale, then on to Carn Garbh. Down to Coire Riabhach, keeping to the N side of the stream for an easy dry shod crossing of the Sletdale Burn. Deer tracks back to the track.Gill05/04/2018
From Glen Sletdale via track. River crossing am tricky but near some old shielings. Up the main nose left of the crags and round the plateau to summit in persistent rain..not so good. Cloud skimming the summit. Unfortunately river now impassable at the same spot so trudged down the opposite side via some steep sections to the bridge. Soggy.N.Morters04/03/2017

Ascended from the northwest after Beinn Dhorain. Descended south ridge into Glen Sletdale and picked up deer paths and ultimately track back to Glen Loth Road to continue onwards to Beinn Mhealaichraffemeister22/08/2016
Via Glen Sletdale which very beautiful with spring showers and sunshine. Fantastic rainbow at the top.jenx27/03/2016
Up Glen Sletdale w Jenx using good track shown on map. Some sppear to have cycled but its not that good! Track extends further than shown as good ATV line. Then deer tracks across the wide strath to cross river, note could be a challenge in wet weather, was in good flow here when we crossed in dry spell. Up onto the nose of the proper Carn Garbh nose before cutting off on direct line to summit. Last 1km difficult wet and haggy ground which spoilt an otherwise lovely approach walk. 3 hrs.nordicstar27/03/2016
Solo jog, on a very wet and windy round of the three Marilyns.amswanston04/01/2016

On clockwise circuit from Beinn Dhorain to Carn Garbh. Met AB + EY on summit. Descent E, then SSE down ridge above crags. River crossing in Glen Sletdale could be problematic in wet weather. Track for final 3/4 mile to road.Minto08/06/2014

from Uarie. Very easy drop to valley floor for 2 miles on a moor with no side streams and no gullies or streams to cross. Over the river on mossy stones and fairly steeply up on heather to move to right on the horizon and across the top of a stream above the first peat hag, then a flatter rise for 200' to broad flat top at 13.30. Groups of 25 and 15 deer moved off N as I approached. Man and girl came up - first people I've seen on a Marilyn for some while. They were looking for sites of plane crashes and had come up from SW. 6 1/2 hrs to car.arranc24/05/2009
