From the coral beaches car park at Claigan along the great track climbing the NW side of the hill. Left the track just after the tight bend and climbed easy ground between the two burns to reach the plateau. Crossed boggy section to summit avoiding wider sections of two guarding moat like water courses. | SpudGunn | 20/02/2023 |

With KeithbytheC from the Coral Beach car park, which we visited at the end of the walk. Was busy in the car park even on a rainy day. | JulieB | 14/09/2020 |
up track from coral beaches car park, then just north of west up easy slopes to the summit. | KeithByTheC | 14/09/2020 |
From Coral Beaches car park via track and west flank. | Winterfloodian | 07/09/2020 |
7 and last one of the day, cycled up the track from the parking area in Claigan, not great as it was just grassy and soft but did manage to get out 1.5km to a gate. From here continued up the track until due west of the top then straight up. Great day and stayed in the Stein Inn. | Simon Winton | 13/03/2020 |
From car park at road end, busy! 6 cars parked on s wild windy day, suspect for the beach, noticed a plethora of no parking on nearby crofts suspect hellish in summer. Up the track then easily over the final heathery rise to summit. 50/60moh wind blew me uphill. Clear save for a hail squall. 2/4 Marilyn | N.Morters | 22/02/2020 |
Parked at Claigan. An easy stroll up the track to the high point then up to the summit quite easily. | Gill | 29/09/2019 |
Went to beach car park. Full, and 5 cars hovering for spaces to be released. Returned to o/s 43m spot height, 5 spaces in the bend there. Backtrack to beach, old track about 100m off to right from the parking, head for small stand of trees, eventually you have to scale the deer fence this way. So, so busy now | iangalbraith | 28/08/2019 |
Cloud on top,on to trig point and back via coral beaches. | clashcityrocker | 24/07/2019 |
From Claigan up track then on to summit. Along ridge to the trig and back down to the busy car park. | NormanW | 05/06/2019 |
Glad to escape the mayhem of Coral Beach car park for the solitude of the hill. The track now sports a deer fence high gate. I left it a couple of hundred yards short of the high point, lured by a grassy ridge heading in the direction of the summit. | Nick Down1 | 30/05/2019 |
Dropped P, I, B off at Dunvegan Castle. Parked at Claigan. Easy walk up the grassy track, then across dry short heather / grass to the summit. One leap across a peaty pool, otherwise easy. Awesome clear views to the Outer Hebrides and all across Skye on a sunny day with a light westerly. | Owen B | 12/05/2019 |
Pity about the crazy car park. Followed track up as high as we could and then up hill. A couple of rises to catch you out but saw summit over peat hags. Beautiful views of the water and islands. | elizyanne | 19/04/2019 |
Another day off from Winter Munro bagging due to the awful weather forecast. From Claigan, via the excellent 4x4 track to just below Creag-a Ghuail, then deep grass across a saturated moor to the top, making a little use of occasional traces of an.tx. | Isbjorn | 13/01/2019 |
From NW starting at large parking area at Claigen. Track up to 150m than directly up animal tracks. Ground became soft and wet higher up. Returned due south then west to track HP. | Topographer57 | 24/11/2018 |
3of5: From Claigan CP. | ChrisR | 28/09/2018 |
Parked at Fairy Bridge, fence hopping required. Walked additional distance to trig, superb views. Shared views with my good buddies, a load of ticks, on this hill, for some reason. Company: Solo | iandesbottes | 17/05/2018 |
From the parking area at Claigan. The track east and then SE makes for an easy ascent to 245529 then a direct strike to the summit. Solo 80 minute return. | bolton | 03/10/2017 |
headed first to the northerly top with trig pillar S9439. Attractive castellated rocky top but little prominence from the Marilyn summit of Beinn Bhreac kilometre and a half to the SSE | vegibagger | 28/05/2017 |
M J O IS MH BH Via usual route. Made a loop to Western top and then to Coral Beach. | Martin66 | 31/12/2016 |
From Claigan up the wonderful grassy peat track. | Chris Peart | 21/10/2016 |
Pleasant while the path goes- from Claigan, past the souterrain. Then a slog through thick vegetation most of the way. Cloud blew on and off from the sea on a calm day, best hill views were of Macloed's Tables. Coral beaches walked to later; an interesting area | pwheeler | 11/06/2016 |
Easy approach from the CP, and not bad after leaving the track. good views of the Tables. | jenx | 10/02/2016 |
Claigan CP. track takes you up to 240m then animal travks through roughish ground the top. Heavy showers tracking up the sound below. | nordicstar | 10/02/2016 |
from Claigan Car park which gets overfilled with seal watchers in tourist season.I headed in the opposite direction up the path to the bealach and up another nice hill. | Thearlaichdubh | 19/08/2015 |
claigan car park good track to high point then up through heather. | robertphillips | 25/04/2015 |

Circular (anti clockwise) trip from car park at NG232537 - also taking in the coral beaches. | summitsup | 10/06/2008 |
Parked at Claggan. On access track over dry moor, through 4 or 5 gates - last one padlocked! To top at 16.00. 4 large stones placed on the edge of a dry peat hag. | arranc | 09/05/2008 |
From Claigan, pitch dark when I started out, walked right into the middle of a heard of cattle which I could hear but not see. | agentmancuso | 02/04/2007 |
From west on lovely June day. | Dugswell2 | 04/06/2002 |
