Chose to cycle the access track to the foot of the hill. Couldn't bring myself to drive it! | Matt2901 | 24/06/2023 |
Should have read previous entries and driven to foot of hill instead of parking at power station. | lordtonult | 03/06/2023 |
Parked close to power station but could have driven further. Followed turbine road and then straightforwardly up to summit. | Crumblie2 | 31/05/2023 |

The lazy way. Drove up minor road past Balmeanach, through forestry plantation and beyond new Power Station, part of the Edinbane Wind Turbine development to reach the upper turbines. Short crossing of tussochy ground to summit - grand views | SpudGunn | 20/02/2023 |

With KeithbytheC. 4 miles 1hr 30 walking time. My 800th Scottish Marilyn. | JulieB | 14/09/2020 |
parked at eastern edge of forest, just west of power station. Decent surfaced forest track to drive on. Walked up track round power staion and up through windfarm. Ascended from track up easy slopes to summit, dodging minor crags. | KeithByTheC | 14/09/2020 |
With Luna | BigNick | 21/03/2020 |
Parked at the power station, cycled up the track to SW of the top then a quick walk up and an even faster descent on the bike
Second of seven | Simon Winton | 13/03/2020 |
Drove up to power station from Balmeanach then short walk up the windfarm track hen over mostly easy grassy tuffs. Howling 50mph gale, but clear. 1/4 Marilyn | N.Morters | 22/02/2020 |

There's nothing to stop you driving up the wind farm road late on a Sunday afternoon. Good parking just beyond the gate near the high point and then it's an easy stroll to the top over grass and burned off heather. | Gill | 29/09/2019 |
As Isbjorn, then drove through double gate to high point. Good this way, no locks or padlocks and saves a tedious hill. | iangalbraith | 26/08/2019 |
On foot from the Power Station. A dry interlude. | NormanW | 06/06/2019 |

Another day off from Winter Munro bagging on account of the awful weather forecast. Up the wind farm access road beyond Balmeanach - a gate at circa NG350440 was open and no sign of a locking mechanism, so was able to continue up to a double gate at circa NG354452, also no locking mechanism. Then up burnt, but now saturated, moorland to the top. | Isbjorn | 13/01/2019 |

Parked at the power station at 351441. The access road is ok to this spot. Through the forest of wind turbines on the gravel road to about 353456 before heading directly to the top. I could see 21 turbines and non in operation on a windy day. Solo 70 minute return. | bolton | 03/10/2017 |

A not very interesting hill, surrounded by much better stuff. | jenx | 10/02/2016 |
With Jenx. Up the minor road then on up forest track. No gates just two cattle grids. Ditto turbine road. Sign said 'shut the gate' so we did. Not worth spending energy on this uninteresting hill surrounded by turbines. Glad to get out again with it ticked. | nordicstar | 10/02/2016 |
Drove to power station and cycled to within about 500 metres. | Topographer57 | 11/09/2015 |
vuirich | 30/08/2015 | |
from the road end to W. In theory you could drive 1 mile to the power station, but beware the angry windfarmer. Plod through the bog and heather from near summit of bog. Good that this is so hidden away. | Thearlaichdubh | 20/08/2015 |
