Parked on the verge beside the gate at Grid 03058365. Walked up the road to the gate and followed the path up onto the hill. White Hill first, then down and over the wall up to Hightown Hill. Return down to the path.smocks and denims15/11/2023

Up from Hightown Farm - on a day trip with brother Tony. A lot of new fencing being erected which might cause future issueschriswatson12/07/2023
Second time, to visit relocated top. As there was nobody around to ask for permission to park at Hightown Farm, I parked at the start of a wide track at NY 02794 82510. I headed back north by the lane to the farm, and then took the track SE leaving it to reach the top of White Hill. I then descended to the track for an ascent to the trig on Hightown Hill. Descent was by outward route. Solo. 4.9km, with 160m of ascent.Man of Kernow129/05/2023
Spoke to friendly farmer about route and avoiding cows/bull.PeteF29/05/2023
Parked outside Hightown Farm face on to wall between drives. Knocked at side door to ask if ok and lady said fine but I could park in their yard beside her car if I wanted which I accepted as I was doing a round of Tumps and a trig after White Hill. Route was White Hill, Hightown Hill (repeat from 2004), 13489 Pinnacle Hill direct, 13470 Barrs Hill via S Cowshaw, 13462 Back Hill, down by quarry to avoid cows with calves and stroppy bullock, Shaw's Hill (trig), Crotchmade Rd to 13526 Hempland Hill, back along road. 9.35m, 1500ft of ascent, 3hrs 20mins moving. 260m round trip from home.Jim.Fothergill28/05/2023
Like many, needed done as summit relocated. Like last time, parked south of the farm, tight to the verge at, but not blocking gate, a few metres S of farm. Farmer asked if he could help, when I explained, said bull was in that field, but I just said OK. Gate now locked at bottom of track, one opposite farm, no objections to climbing at hinge end. Followed track to gate into the field with the top cum Fort in it, easy to top. No sign of any bull. Dropped off back to gates and looped round the wet area up to the trig, again. Fabulous views, easy grassy ground, very fine, if short, wee hills.Belfarm 12/05/2023
Asked helpful farmer where to park.nicolajane31/03/2023
Parked tidyly, tight to fence line, directly opposite Hightown Farm at NY03018359. Due to the gate being locked it had to be climbed (at hinge end). Followed obvious muddy and wet track to the field containing the summit, then direct to top. On returning to the gate the farmer returned in a vehicle. Was happy to chat, no comment on climbing the gate or where I had parked.geralddavison26/03/2023

From track opposite Hightown Farm. Probably had climbed previously with Hightown Hill. Good parking by T-junction to N.RobertP23/06/2022
Diverted off the motorway on the way south to bag the updated Marilyn top. Squeezed into the space 200m north of Hightown farm, avoiding blocking the gate. Up the road to the farm, then took the grassy track around the south west of Hightown Hill. No cows today.Owen B29/05/2022
Solo trip. Not a very distinguished hill for my 750th Marilyn but pleasant enough. Sheep in field but no cows.Invicta1427/05/2022
From Hightown farm to W over Hightown Hill. Friendly farmer allowed to park in front of the gates to the house; the driveway is not used. Galltywenallt22/04/2022
From former Marilyn and return to car at 71m spot height. Best to avoid Pinnacle Wood.lordtonult04/03/2022
Enquired at Hightown to obtain permission to park at the farm. Proceeded to Hightown Hill summit followed by White Hill. Fantastic views.raffemeister12/01/2022
Parked on verge by gate about 200m N of Hightown Farm, then usual route to summit. Should have bagged this in 2013 when up Hightown Hill. Revisited trig today.vuirich12/01/2022
Revisited new summit to conduct the first SOTA activity on short wave from White Hill when it replaced Hightown Hill.G4OBK (Phil)01/12/2021
Parking north of Pinnacle Hill near Water of Ae for 1/2 cars where a track leads towards Pinnacle Hill, track curves around to the right and a fainter path heads up bearing left to the top. From here headed to White Hill via the Bankhead Reservoirs to avoid the cows. Straightforward down and up then from White Hill to Hightown Hill trig. Then beared right to fence corner following field edge back to track we used inWayne Mac26/11/2021
A joy to come across to this bare, non cairned non trigged Marilyn summit... That doesn't hold the baggage that the previous trig pillar's 'date' implied by the FB numbers. A whopping 20cm higher. The date referenced by the numbers on the previous Marilyn 's flush bracket 7705 make it a place of poignancy, not just the victims of the London bombings that Thursday morning 7/7/05 but also a car of young idiots overtaking a number of cars with me at its head while approaching a blind bend, on theA19 north of Doncaster and only avoiding a head on multiple pile up by a fraction of a second as another vehicle came round the bend, forcing them to swerve in, in front of me. Another of this lion's nine lives lost.vegibagger25/10/2021
pinnacle hill, white hill, hightown hill repeat from parking near gate at 0304 8381.robertphillips23/10/2021
Nearly 21 years later and I'm back at Hightown for the 'other summit'. Sigh.Minto25/09/2021
Didn't do this one last time as a) It was raining and b) I don't do tumps. Will untick when Hightown Hill is found to be xxmm higher!tim74711/09/2021
1 of 4: Parked at Hightown Farm and asked about parking. A very friendly and helpful lady showed us where and advised us to give the cows-with calves- a wide berth. With Karen.ChrisR30/08/2021

Nice easy summit. Had to wait for the heard of cows with their Calves including a Bull, to clear from the summit of the Tump before heading back that wayconanharrod19/08/2021
Quick jaunt via Hightown Hill, climbed 20 years ago, to climb the replscing Marilyn thus removing the one green blob from my unclimbed Humps south of Central Scotland. Personnel at Hightown farm made me very welcome to park in the farm yard.Kiltie11/08/2021
GV P south of Ferncleuch then N up road to gate due west of summit, then unoccupied fields to summit.Topographer5713/07/2021
Another Marilyn completion. Rather fewer companions than the first completion. Farmer let me park on his drive.Martin R09/07/2021
Examination of my gpx file from my visit to Hightown Hill in 2018 shows that I came within 100m linear and 20m vertical of this relocated top, necessitating a revisit. Same as last time, my start point was a little campsite at Lochmaben. Recorded route and write-up at: http://gayleybird.blogspot.com/2021/07/white-hill.htmlGayle04/07/2021
As on previous visit in March 2015 when climbing Hightown Hill, parked on grass verge by gate 200m N. of Hightown Farm at NY 0304 8381 - Up road, over gate opposite farm & along farm track to gate at 035833 - Over gate & E. up over sheep pasture to the obvious summit. (S)gerrybowes30/05/2021
Very limited parking at Hightown Farm - narrow grass verge parking about 200 metres S. Through gate opposite farm, up track, through one gate on R, then easy grass to top.Isbjorn26/05/2021
If you ask the farmer he will advise on parking. Very helpful and friendly.Crumblie217/05/2021
From north. Over Pinnacle Hill then White Hill and finally re-bag of Hightown Hill. Just over 3 miles in one hour 30 minutes.Alan Caine15/05/2021
A half hour morning stroll to reclaim my lost Marilyn. Up the track from Hightown Farm, over the gate, then easily up to the top, while Jon Glew waited at the farm talking to the 86-year old farmer who was just going to mend his fences. Respect!Gill14/05/2021
Bagged on the way to Hightown Hill - see that for longer report.Toby-and-Dion18/04/2021
Parked just north of Hightown Farm in layby. walked up the hill to the farm and then on track to Hightown Hill and then on to White Hill returning similar way.jigglybones20/03/2021

Once again from Hightown Farm. Very inquisitive cattle in neighbouring field followed me at a gallop as I walked up the track. Once again, great views on a fine evening.Campbell Singer26/09/2020
From Hightown Farm to visit the new twin highpoint and repeat Hightown Hill. Up track to White Hill first then Hightown. Better than fog bound first visit when I couldnt even see the fort. Fine viewsN.Morters24/09/2020
Liz's route - thanks. Easy ascent and no cattle to concern me. There's a bit of a drop between here and the trig - no wonder I didn't visit. Towards the new top much trampled grass due to recent catch-up bagging.NormanW17/09/2020
