Anti-clockwise route around Coire an Iubhair. Solo.Dangerous Dave04/06/2023
Up coire a Cotham to below point 773 then slant north to ridge and up to summit of Garbh Bheinn. South-east to coll and very steeply down to coire. Strong wind and spindrift. Lots of parking on old road.Flatfield14/01/2023
Up and down via SE ridge from the A861 With Harrison and John. Wet terrain after several weeks of rain, dry weather but cold and claggy on the tops - had a brief sandwich stop near the summit (after donning some layers) before heading back down. Total time 4h 21min.mproudfoot03/12/2022
In the midst of one of the wettest Novembers', I chose a perfect day to head up this particular peak. Clear day, great views saw no-one else a good day. A superb mountain one I am glad to have submitted. Company: Soloiandesbottes13/11/2022
Out & back from A861 parking on old loop of road. On own.MorecambeMonkey16/09/2022
Parked by cattle grid at NM897603. Crossed cattle grid and followed forest fence. Continued up glen following Allt a Chothrium heading to col north of Meall a Chuilinn ST and then south to the Simm. No climbing required. From the west side of the col a grassy ramp leads to the summit of Meall a Chuilinn. Followed ridge round to Garbh Bheinn and Sron a Garbh Choire Mor. Weaved around cliffs / outcrops back to cattle grid.BaggerGutt20/06/2022

Almost a perfect day in excellent weather Up Garbh Beinn via the normal route over Sron a Garbh Mhoir, a really fine trip with interesting sections but no real difficulties. The SW and S over Meall a Chuilinn and its S top. I had no advance info about this but it was fine, just pleasant walking. Having studied it from road plan was to drop down east into Coire an Iubhair but it was extremely steep and I bottled it. It would have been fine as an ascent route. So headed west on ridge to a less steep line down S to road. This is what took the edge off the day, the decent was fine but the hack through the felled forest to the road was not. The a short walk up the road to the cattle grid where I had left my bike and free wheeled all the way back to my tent/car. A very good day despite the felled forest.dickscroop02/08/2021
Out and back from A861. Very hot day.mcbboyd24/07/2021

Wow, what a spectacular hill. Went directly up the nose of the ridge initially, but increasingly used the path as we got well up. Used the path down!GWR Chris14/05/2021

Then returned to bealach, steeply north-east down corrie and then boggy eroded path down Coire an Iubhair back to A 861. Did after Sgorr Mhic Eacharna & Beinn Bheag. Descended from Beinn Bheag to 89951/63189 & up gully from Lochan Coire an Lubhair to 90197/62862. Steep but ok apart from a large boulder about half way up which didn't look too steady. Then up via 90226/62817 & 90414/62477 with some short bits of minor scrambling. A hard but great day.duchally31/05/2016

Did the wonderful round of Coire an Iubhair, over the Grahams to the E first. Followed the path up the glen for a short way & then forced a way up on to Druim an Iubhair. This was tedious but worth it once we were up. Followed the broad ridge along to Sgorr Mhic Eacharna & then round the increasingly rough ground to Beinn Bheag. From here, continued along to the minor tops at 692m & 682m & then dropped straight down to the bealach. Ascended a wet gully which looked easier from the bottom than it actually was: steep, slippery & loose at its narrowest point but then easier after that. Wound our way round the rough stuff to the summit & a terrific view before following the long SE ridge down to the starting point. This round didn't do my knees much good but it was worth it!NotReallyABagger10/09/2014

With ketzster in snow. Nasty descent down a gully. ketzster said afterwards we should have used crampons. Long way back along the glen. Stevie n Tay stayed at Birch chalet at the Clachaig for the day.Yeltzbagger10/11/2013
From SSW via the GT, CT and CT. Ptarmigan near summit. Mist made for interesting descent of N ridge: soon lost sketchy path, kept a bit E of crest, on steep grass, worked OK, traversed W to a col then up the P23 subCT bagged in passing. Then super-steep deer-trod descent to rejoin path, but kept L, following NE bank of impressive gorge, on rather alarmingly exposed deer trod! And so to Druim Min and back to road.RHW14/10/2013
Great hill. Descent into upper corrie very slippy.KevPalmer18/07/2013
