From Benmore Botanic garden cp, cycled up to track junction just after Bernice, then W up Bernice Glen to c. NS 119920 and thence to trig, including many subsidiary lumps just in case! Remnants of snow above 600m and frozen ground which made walking easier.Bitterly cold but excellent views all round. Descent by same route to col, then on to Beinn Bheag. Retraced route to col, down glen and cycle oot. Cracking day; 6hrs walking + 2 on bike.MichaelF27/03/2023
With Anne B from 119867. Luckily the farmer picked us up and drove up the zigzags into the forest. Plenty of snow after the recent fall. The rocky Tor to the NE of the trig looks higher and was thus reading 3 metre+ on the GPS. 5.5 hours.bolton15/03/2023

From Benmore Botanic Garden, cycled along W side of Loch Eck as far as a junction just N of Bernice (NS134918), then W along forest road to NS123918, then followed Bernice Burn up to the col (initially N of Burn, then S side, all intermittent and indistinct tracks), then S, turning SW, up steep slopes, mostly at edge of E-facing crags, to summit of Beinn Mhór, descended back to col, and N upwards, zigzagging through crags to the line of an old fence (mostly now gone), heading NE W of Meall Breac S Top, E of Meall Breac and W of 601m spot height to summit of Beinn Bheag, descending to col the same way, thence back to Bernice and the start (6h50m [5h40m from near Bernice])kdbennett11/07/2022

From Glen Massan via the forest track, continuing over Capull Cloiche and picking my way down tussocky slopes, through a forest break and felling to the singletrack a few hundred yards SE of Glenmassan Farm. Surprised three roe deer on a grassy terrace on the descent.Nick Down126/03/2022
Great walk up through Benmore Gardens to A' Chruach and all tops along the ridge to Beinn Mhor including nipping out to Clach Bheinn. Descent to Glen Masson via the excellent forestry track.sclater27/01/2022

First P600 since Ben More (Assynt) last May when I injured my right Achilles and left knee. Drove as far as possible on public road down Glen Masson.. Road beyond this point is driveable but clear signs stating no unauthorised vehicles. Nice steady 1.5 mile walk along track to Glen Masson Farm, immediately after which take a right turn up forest track, gently ascending 400m to the tree line, where on a clear day you can see the summit to your right. Easy grassy path to follow to the ridge before turning right and following path towards the summit. Weather was closing in behind me but managed to reach the summit just before it started to rain. Returned by the same route and by the time I reached the path (marked by a post and a tree set away from the forest boundary) at the tree line the summit was obscured by cloud. Straight forward descent through the forest and very tired legs trudging back to the van along the track from Glen Masson Farm.mntainman20/08/2021

Bike from Glen Branter on good forest tracks up to about 300m near the Bernice Glen col, then easily up fine NE ridge to summit.alda19/04/2021
Parking spot on Glen Massan road at NS139840, walking by River Eachaig, then road / track along Loch Eck to Bernice. Forestry track up Bernice Glen then rough ground to the beallach and steep climb to summit of Meall Breac S Top (several humps) and traverse to summit of Beinn Bheag. N to boggy beallach and climb to summit of Cruach Bhuidhe. Return along ridge, contouring below the tops to Beallach Bernice and then long steady ascent to Beinn Mhor visiting tops to NE only slightly lower. Continued S on ridge, climbing Capull Cloiche, then cross to climb steeply to Clach Bheinn visiting the twin tops and a third top. Continued on to Creachan Mor, Creachan Beag, Creachan Beag SE top, and finally A'Cruach. Descended SE to find grassy track leading to forestry track down to Loch Eck road.RobertP30/08/2020

Solo. From car park at Benmore Botanic Gardens along the private road to the water works on Loch Eck, continuing along the track that runs northwards close to Loch Eck. Shortly after Bernice took a left turn to go up Bernice Glen. Where the track turned south over a bridge over Bernice Burn, I left the track and ascended to Bealach Bernice, going firstly up the true righthand side of the burn and then mostly on the true lefthand side. I ascended the hillside southwards and joined the NE ridge of Beinn Mhòr where I found a narrow path. From Beinn Mhòr went down the SE ridge over five tops back to the Botanic Gardens.pwbellarby06/06/2018
Followed on from Beinn Bheag ,this was a steeper, but simpler ascent from Bealach Bernice. Then followed the south east plateau and ridge back down to the Botanic Garden CP. A long day.IanHHill14/05/2018

Glenbranter to Benmore ridge with Gill Stevens. 12 hills picked off. From Meal Breac S Top, and on to Capull Cloiche.jonglew14/11/2017
Glenbranter to Benmore, over Cruach Bhuidhe, Beinn Bheag, Beinn Mhor and various Tumps. The starting firebreak was very steep, slippy and nasty, except when you can get through the forestry. Would be quicker/easier/more pleasant to gain height by zig-zagging up the forest road. The walk over the hills is fairly rough, and there is quite a lot of up and down, especially towards the end of the Beinn Mhor ridge. A route for connoisseurs. Look out for Christmas decorations on the trees by the track leading down to Benmore.Gill14/11/2017

From Glen Massan, track and firebreak north to top of forest and up onto SW ridge. It is worth using GPS to mark the forest exit, which may otherwise be hard to locate when descending, even in clear conditions.Topographer5729/06/2006
End of public road in Glen Massan. 2 miles on access road to farm across stream on bridge into forest. Wolfie - long haired retriever - followed me to top of forest (he died in early 2007). On pleasant zig zags above side stream to right. No GPS signal. At top of path a guide post showed way ahead, but then stopped when they were most needed. In mist on compass following buggy track under the ridge of hill. Strong S wind. Over wet lank grass and rushy bits to top at 12.30. No view - mist.arranc01/10/2004
