From Corarsik, descent via An Creachan, managed to find paths of sorts through the forestry both ways.Grinner06/01/2024
2 of 3: From Creag a Chanuill. With Karen.ChrisR08/06/2023
From Glen Lean.hils08/06/2023
Parked opposite forest track in Glen Lean. Set off up track and immediately met logging truck coming down. Walked to second firebreak with red and white tape then up crossing stream as required to top and onto open hillside and summit. Great views all around. Down by same route. 135 mins car to car.Coinneach23/05/2023
An Creachan, Sgorach Mor, Creag a' Chanuill, Meall an Fhamhair. From parking area by Strath Eachaig road opposite track to Corarsik. Followed track past Corarsik, turning into pleasant grassy path to top of forestry and then some steep ground to reach An Creachan. Easy walking along the tops. Descent from Meall an Fhamhair NE through forestry close to line of stream and not too bad most of the way.RobertP17/05/2023

Parked on B836 at GR 094827 and followed track with bike. Couldn't see any track off to right, so continued to end of trees and went up from there. Mist and rain cleared near the summit, which lives up to its name.IanHHill10/05/2023
From Glen Lean as per route in the SMC Grahams addendum. Lots of space to park and route generally OK by Cowal forestry standards. Constant rain and thick clag though (was expected to clear).benalder28407/05/2023
Took Hughs book route. Boggy section was not too boggy, didn't find old bird hide but found good fairly obvious, path off to left through trees, that led straight up to open land. Followed around to An Cruachan where signs with red arrows on white discs lead over 453pt down to a blue post on edge of forest at about 328m. Turned right here into forest and track starts at right hand end (not on OS maps app 1:25000). Follow this good track all the way, until it eventually meets mapped track out to Corarsik. 8.1 miles. Nice circuit.JulieB19/04/2023
Up the SW ridge as described in SMC Grahams Addendumdavidpettit8411/04/2023
From cross tracks just W of Clachaig NS 112816. Followed a succession of logging tracks to emerge on open hillside at c NS 111824 thence onto Clachaig Hill and across to the hill. Descent over Creag a' Chanuill and down same tracks.MichaelF31/03/2023
With Anne & Ralph. A very simple walk from Glen Lean. Parked at start of forest road at 094 826. Grass track uphill to open hillside, then along ridge to summit. A detour out and back to Creag a Chanuill before descending by same route.Dangerous Dave17/03/2023
Route as in Hughs book. Path up through forest very boggy and pretty horrible.nicolajane21/02/2023
Much as isbjorn and Gill below though even in February, rather less gloopy than their account suggested. At point of exit from trees there was small piece of blue/white tape which was useful on return, make a mental note it is about 30m past the stream. After Sgorach Mor head back towards fence line and follow to Creag a Chanuill, keep track of your distance as not easy to identify actual top, I overshot somewhat and collected on way back.dickscroop08/02/2023
From Glen Lean forest track starting 094827 and up past the picnic bench to the good track starting 086840. Hard surface under the moss and grass except two very wet areas, one flat, lower down, one very steep, higher up, both recognisable by the peaty gloopy surface and branches laid along edge of track for ATVs. Best detour into the trees, especially the steep wet bit, ankle deep, no traction whatsoever even in Mudclaws. Near forest edge approx. 086845 mapped track turns right, barred by a trench and seems disused. Instead, go straight ahead up through gap in trees to forest edge, over a track drainage pipe and branches laid across for the ATVs. ATVs go into the trees briefly, then emerge on the ridge, but it's drier to head up the mossy bank ahead to rejoin track. The track follows parallel to the old fence (mapped) and peters out in friendly hags near pt 520. Fence posts continue through the lochan and NW of the summit. Easy to contour up to N side and the top.Gill12/12/2020
From NS094827 up forest road to about 300m after it starts to climb again following a slight descent (200m after picnic table). Blue tape marks where a track laying vehicle track starts steeply up then veers L and continues steeply up through gloop to top of forest – note dog-leg L through final trees and on to open moorland. TLV track continues up at relentless angle to a bleached sturdy fence A post at about NS092848 (take GPS reading or note terrain features as this is your key point to locate in descent). Squelch over to L of and around N side of Sgorach Mor which has a weakness for ascent on NE flank. On to Creag an Chanuill, much up and down over false tops – it’s always the one furthest away, hidden from sight.Isbjorn16/10/2020
Arduous horseshoe from Corarsik.iangpark05/11/2019
Popped over on the ferry with bike and cycled to Corarsik. Track and faint (albeit wet) path out onto open hillside. Fine views, nice wee hill.N.Morters17/08/2019
Parked at entrance to forest 095827. Followed track to a pair of streams at 089837. In between them is a line of larch trees: very open and easy to ascend after the initial clamber. When the larches end at thicker woodland, go left to the stream and climb easily to the edge of the forest. Note the red tag on the tree at the top marking the route. Continued to Creag a'Chanuill just to be Tamperer-proof.PGCE24/05/2019
From small layby at NS090831 directly up behind to forest track - along to path at NS087840 and thence to open hill and summit.Chris Peart27/03/2019
Parked in Glen Lean at 095828 at the entrance to the forest road. Leave the forest road at 086840 where a path of sorts leads upward through the forest and to the open hill when a surprisingly easy climb eventually from the north side. 3 hour return. Solo.bolton05/09/2018
Cycle up track from Glea Lean to 086840 then turn right up steep grassy and in places wet track up onto open hillside. Last 50 vertical metres to summit look steep on all sides but a route up the north face presented no difficulties.Topographer5725/02/2018
Revisit for tops, creag a chanuill, sgorach mor, an creachan from track leading to corasik.robertphillips25/05/2017
Locked gate so couldn't drive to 085840. Parked at layby down from Glenlean Farm and easily up through trees to track, then steep ATV track to open hillside (dry today but often a quagmire in places) and across to shapely summit.AndrewFinnimore11/05/2017
A super hill. CW circuit from Corarsik based on route in 'The Hughs'ger02/05/2017
Circuit from Corarsik .chalky195301/09/2016
Possible to drive up to the GR085840 referenced previous baggers where a track goes up the hill. Did this and quick up the track to open hillside and summit. Collected the other Simm top in case Alan D resurveys ;-). Back same contouring around first summit to track.nordicstar28/05/2016
A nice rocky ridge line to the top once out of the trees.jenx28/05/2016
Track from 095827 then track up through trees to the top.robertphillips19/12/2015
