Ran up windfarm track all the way to within 50m or so of summit. Despite a 6am start, the site was very busy and I must have been passed by 40 or so vehicles. Nobody seemed to mind.Stickman06/07/2023
From Burn of Lunklet car park via Butter Stone. Returned directly to Burn of Lunklet. Avoided most of wind farm development.Winterfloodian01/06/2023

From SE, walked up the wind farm track, all quiet on a Sunday, interesting to see the various stages of construction, although, all a bit of a mess. Went to trig and nearby peat hag.PeterD14/05/2023

Loathed to loose too much heigh for an evening bag. Parked at cattle grid to west, over the small ridge on easy moorland following dry spell and fence line. Up to meet wind farm track round hill to reach final pull to top. Soon the route from south on wind farm roads may be an option as they go within 200m of summit. Lovely sunset.N.Morters27/04/2022

After Cunnigill Hill and Dalescord Hill. Followed the Cicerone guide route from the parking area at 367576. Followed the footpath to the waterfall, then up the left side of the Burn of Lamberwater to the Butterstone. Up onto the ridge where we were surprised at meeting the end of the windfarm track, followed this across the ridge until needing to cross over and climb to the summit. From the summit descended towards Groti Field to the left of another bit of the under construction wind farm track. Then crossed over the windfarm track to a gate. Went through this and directly up to Groti Field. Descended the SW ridge of Groti Field (avoiding the windfarm track as diggers still digging) back down to the top of the path leading back to the waterfall and then the car. 5.4miles walking 2hr 27 walking time, 3hr all in round trip.JulieB23/06/2021
From car park for Burn of Lunklet waterfall. Up path past waterfall. Rough ground to Butter Stone. Then up steeply to southern top where wind farm construction is underway. Main summit clear, but largely surrounded by construction. KeithByTheC23/06/2021

Into the lion's den - I decided to test the revised but ambiguous access arrangements posted on the web by Viking Energy which seemed to allow access through their active windfarm workings as long as you stayed away from machinery (did not say how far) and acted responsibly -which seemed fair enough. From Kergold -just before the new huge windfarm depot. My direct route to summit involved crossing 4 times the newly bulldozed access tracks busy with vehicles going up and down in clouds of dust and a dozen diggers and earthmovers just before the summit. I stood well back but as expected I was soon stopped and told I was on a construction site -but when I quoted their own web advice and my destination was allowed to continue once a long list of potential hazards was politely pointed out. It was actually quite difficult to climb off the track on the upside crossing a ditch and up a high steep peat bank.Chris Pearson16/04/2021

Evening summit bag from the west. Followed path from car park to waterfall then over style and followed fence line up hill before then striking up to summit area. Went to trig first then all potential high points in area. Saw a fallen cairn by peat hag in middle of bog so rebuilt it ;-) Solo.assynt_bob16/06/2019

Bypassed contouring below the other two hills to do them on the return leg. Trig pillar. Looked like impending good sunset to NW across Muckle Row.vegibagger28/05/2019
droped off at Scord of Sound. Up hill of Sound track then and walked taking in all the summits along the ridge to join Road B9071 below Fielnadringa, then walked the road to bus stop at Voe to catch bus back to Lerwick.Neil Fraser18/10/2018
A sneaky little Marilyn after Noss and Bressay. From Upper Kergord, easily up sheep pastures then bog vegetables and peat hags to the top. A good viewpoint for most of Shetland including Foula.Gill19/08/2018
Parked at Upper Kergord farm on grass verge. Walked up to North House on farm track then took a direct line across rough pasture and fairly dry peat hags to the top.jonglew19/08/2018
Straight up from Burrafirth. Good path, then faint path up fence line most of way. Was booked for Foula, but first misty day for weeks stopped the planePeteN14/08/2018
