From the road end at Heylor. Directly up to summit. Return along west side of Gersfield Water, as far as 2nd smaller lochan, then directly down to track. Conditions very dry underfoot so fairly easy going but impagine it could be quite hard work after a wet spell. 2.2miles just under an hour walking time. With KeithByTheC.JulieB30/06/2021
From end of road at Heylor. 2 or 3 cars can be squeezed in. Direct ascent from behind ruined building. Back via west side of Garsfield Water to return down easy slopes to footpath north of Burn of Loomishun. KeithByTheC30/06/2021

MC JC O. Like everyone else, from Heylor where there is a good parking spot and turning area even for a campervan. 25 mins to the top in windy conditions. Plenty of pet bags. Return by same route.Martin6608/09/2020

Much nicer hill than expected - peat hag channels ran more or less in the direction of travel (from road end to NE, near Heylor). Wild moorland - lots of lochans in view.ger08/06/2019

From Haylor up to Gersfield water, then White Grunafirth, Back to car then drive to Collafirth hill and up Ronas hill for 37th time.Neil Fraser06/09/2018
A surprisingly easy and pleasant walk from Heylor, parking by the ruined cottage complete with Plastic Pig. Steeply up to a bump, weave slightly down across peat hags, easily on gravelly/rocky areas, then up mossy ground to the summit, with fine views. Excellent views of the red cliffs falling from Ronas Hill into Ronas Voe.Gill25/08/2018
