3rd hill of 6 today, having climbed Kirkland hill from Achensoul then after leaving car in Ayr walked along coastal path, veering off to climb Heads of Ayr, dropping down to track past attractive burn to main road then took minor road up to connect with transmitter tower access road. Climbed in and out of compound and over to trig. Rain clouds approaching and getting windier. Next hill: Drumshang hill.Dazingdale13/05/2017
From viewpoint (298164) along ridge to masts. Pass on southern side of masts and continue across 2 fences, both with stiles, to summit. Sunny, but too hazy for good views. Returned the same way.Winterfloodian01/05/2017
Whilst in the area, I realised, quite coincidentally, that I'd ascended this hill on the same day fifteen years ago. A good excuse for a second visit, by the mast access roadColin Crawford14/02/2017

Parked on the grass at the junction with the radio masts access road, and strolled up to just beyond the trig point. Climbed every knoll and hillock, as I forgot to note the actual HP. Surprised that trig is not the HP. Sunny but hazy.malcorbett09/04/2011
