Fittingly from Durisdeer war memorial taking well made track up to just short of Glenleith Fell. Returned to track and followed to very near to Wedder Law before returning same way avoiding wet ground and angling up to Scaw'd Law from gate. Followed ridge to Ballencleuch Law with two minute stop at 11:00, then on to Rodger Law on ATV track. Bit of cross country from there to Comb Law descending to Meikle Shag and then over very wet ground to take the old Roman Road back to Durisdeer. The fort is very impressive.SS11/11/2017

6th hill of 10 on an alternative Southern upland Way route from Sanquhar to Moffat via Dalpedder hill, Cairn hill, Black hill and Durisdeer hill. I went on a straight line down and over the burn (before it splits in three) and up to the summit. In retrospect i should have profiled round to Little Scaw'd Law as i lost that hard won height. By the time i reached the top, my legs were burning and had to shake off cramp. I continued onto Rodger Law.Dazingdale02/05/2016

From the war memorial at Durisdeer with Dad on a sunny early autumn day. Heading NE initially & then taking the track winding generally E on to Durisdeer Rig with the view gradually opening up. At fence turned SE over Little Scawd Law to the 3 way fence junction, then out to Ballencleuch Law & back, then Scawd Law. Continued following fence before turning W down track leading back to Durisdeer.NotReallyABagger24/09/2006
