According to 3rd edition 2009 Cyrniau Nod is the Nuttall so that's where I went. Foel Cedig would have been more straightforward!KatyT12/05/2023
Cycle from Llanfyllin via Rhialgwym. Lovely spring day. Left bike on road!davechaffey12/05/2023

Updated Nuttall 7.5 from Bwlch yr Hwch: Foel Goch, Trum y Gwragedd (Trum y Gwrgedd), Foel y Geifr, Pen y Cerrig Duon, Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw, Stac Rhos, Cefn Gwyntog North Top, Cefn Gwyntog, Cefn Gwyntog Far North Top, Foel Cedig and Y Groes Fagl. Haxy, dull day, so there weren't even good views to distract from the relentless trudge through heather.Lazylizzie03/09/2022
7th Mountain today. Again following the track, a simple one to bag on route to the final mountain.Buckleymon15/08/2022

From the west, along track, making several detours to visit all minor bumps along the way. Back same way but taking two short cuts through sheep pastures.Minto25/05/2022
A revisit after bagging Cyrniau Nod in 2006 and the change in 2015. Drove up the col at SH946273 and took the bike up the track that winds its way around to the top. Undulating but pleasant with great views to Aran Fawddwy and Arenig Fawr. Walked up the last climb and to top for 40min total to summit. Cycled/pushed back in 30 mins. Plains Rally was taking place below in the forestry - didn't like the sound of the ambulance sirens on my return though or the air ambulance flying over as I got back to the car!robphys21/05/2022
As others from the west. Easy parking at the start of the track. Last 90 metres a bit of heather.destaylor22/04/2022

Did the Nuttall's route in 2018 and a couple of weeks later Foel Cedig replaced Cyrniau Nod and a Bridge summit was added! Went to Cefn Gwyntog Far North Top first as couldn't be sure whether I passed over it the previous year. Then onto Foel Cedig which was in cloud by the time i got there. 6.7 miles in an hour and 43.Herbert Anchovy28/07/2019
From Hirnant Pass on mountain bike along track to complete new summit having previously visited the other Nuttalls.Winterfloodian28/07/2019

Easy ascent along track from the east. Simple descent from Bwlch y Groes-fagl, staying on track past Ystrad-y-groes and back to Bwlch yr Hwch via bwlch south of Foel y Dinas. No sign of right of way through the grounds of Ystrad-y-groes. KeithByTheC17/07/2019

From the top of the pass using the track. After declining MP's kindly invitation to join him for the resurvey (other plans and an assumption that things wouldn't change!) it was about time I repaired my Berwyn records.summitsup09/06/2019
Taking advantage of being in the area for the Bala Lake swim in the morning. Parked at top of the pass after lunch and followed the forest track to within a couple of hundred metres of the new summit. An easy walk with great views. Berwyns completed once again!ruthatlast01/06/2019

I have completed the Nuttalls three times now. In 2009 then again when Thack Moor was added and now when Foel Cedig was promoted.ChrisC07/04/2019
I may have visited this new top on my first visit but it's perhaps unlikely, so a return visit to confirm. At least I didn't need to stretch out to the other heathery obscuritiesColin Crawford31/03/2019

#577 Again! The only ring contour not bagged whilst doing Cyrniau Nod!tim74726/02/2019
Couldn't remember for sure if I'd covered this the first time round, so returning 8 years later to make sure. Not the finest hills ever, but worth a visit every few years.huwthomas23/02/2019
Feel sure I would have done this on the ridge when i did the Marilyns . But just to be sure!! From the road end at 020 267petesimpson15/01/2019
Short detour from track, having parked at col to the west. Re-completed the Nuttalls (again)!davidpettit8409/12/2018
From the col at SH946273 with Jez TurnerJim.Fothergill24/11/2018
Recompletion of Richard's Marilyns plus finally I meet Carol Engel, also celebrating great achievement. Small cairn in pathless heather near track, not previously visited. Grey and damp with freezing feet but great company and damson gin.Denise 24/11/2018
English (minus One - Old Man of Mow) and Welsh HuMP completion with many friends including Jeff and Enid Parr (travelling all the way down from Whalley, Lancashire), Myrddyn Philips (who kindly recorded the event), Denise and Richard Maclellan (we meet at last), Alan Dawson (the measuring man), Gill Stevens (now a Scot - lucky you), Alex Cameron (many congrats on Area 30 completion - without a car), Rob Woodall (we all know him), Adrian Rayner (smart beard), Jez (get yersen a GPS!), Jon Glew (wont see ya shortly), another nice man with a beard and ponytail, Myrddyn's mate Alan and I think, Smudge (apologies if incorrect). What a turn out although I think there were several re-completers after Myrddyn's summit relocation. Sorry if I haven't told you how we all got here but they came from all directions - a typical mix of baggers. Great day for me - thanks to all.carole engel24/11/2018
Revisit. 29km circuit from Pennant Melangell, after SubDodd Foel y Geifr. Congrats to the Recompleters on a cold windy day. Then chased jonglew S and E over sundry tops to get back to the church before dusk. Then to Stac Rhos; Cefn Gwyntog Far North Top, turned out in retrospect to be my final Bridge - bonus:-)RHW24/11/2018
From Cefn Gwyntog. Met a jubilant carole engel and others and it appeared that a drink or two had been taken. alda lurking at the summit with some sort of apparatus; presumably with the intention of making people climb this nondescript mountain yet again. On to Y Groes Fagl.Wycombe Wanderer24/11/2018
With several others for a bite & snifter as well as regaining a 'lost' marilyn tick.Smudge24/11/2018
Myrddyn's tampering provided the perfect excuse for Bagger Ramblers to converge on this newly promoted Marilyn for cake and alcohol. Strolled up with Adrian, Alex and Tony, after failing to herd cats, to meet up with Denise and Richard, also re-completing, and Jez, Jim, Jon, Rob, Myrddyn, Alan, Alan, Steve, Smudge, presumably with other re-completers in the party. Carole also decided to make use of the Bagger Rambles to complete her Welsh Humps.Gill24/11/2018
Along the heathery ridge from Moel Dimoel to converge on the summit with a group of similarly dedicated and equally mad friends. Re-completes my Marilyns and great to meet Carole for the first time and completing her Welsh Humps. After excellent Welsh cakes and chocolate caterpillar cake and flutes of Damson Gin and Whisky 40 minutes later we all stagger on our way with various objectives in different directions over the heather moorland.RichardM24/11/2018
Really fun hill celebrations happening up here today. Lovely to be involved with it all.Twice Shy24/11/2018
With Trefor. This completes the Welsh Marilyns for both of us. Parked on the pass to the west at start of track. Followed track to close to summit then on the summit. Cold and snow showers with lying snow. on to tidy up a Nuttall after then back along track to car.mike.hoult21/11/2018

Recompletion of Welsh Marilyns, Nuttall ans Simms. Can’t be sure we did it on previous visit.softsquare02/10/2018
Back after the revision - very unlikely I climbed it 25 years ago when last along the track.Chris Peart01/10/2018
Can't imagine I did Foel Cedig on my first visit. A bit of a Muncaster job but more debatable: looks lower to me but if Myrddyn says higher, that's good enough.Eddie30/09/2018
Parked at the Hirnant Pass and took in in Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw and Foel Cedig, before returning to the car and climbing Foel y Geifr.Sprog29/09/2018

Did the Berwyns last year so just wanted to visit the newly promoted Foel Cedig. Parked the car at SH 95240 29987, walked along the road South to the track at SH 94627 27327 and then followed the track all the way back to the car. Also stopped off at Y Groes Fagl as it's the easiest of the other tops. Really wet today.tsharp14/09/2018

Parked on road, walked north to track at 953213 and walked up forking right down a less prominent track at 973204.clivevilla04/09/2018
From Hirnant Pass to W, using good track. Foel Cedig (shortly after assuming the Marilyn summit status - probably didn't visit 19 years previously when climbing Cyrniau Nod), Y Groes Fagl, then Stac Rhos on return.RobertP02/09/2018
Easy parking at track junction just before Ystrad-y-groes at SH 95641 30798. Up forest track & then 90m SE across heather to a few stones on summit mound. In November 2012, bagged the former top whilst doing a clockwise circuit of the Nuttalls' 7.5 route. Unfortunately, the Nuttalls' route gave this new top a wide berth. Recompletes the Nuttalls & Simms of England & Wales & a third recompletion of the Marilyns of England & Wales. (S)gerrybowes01/09/2018
From Craig Foel y ddinas by forest roads and paths south. Steep heather ascent from forest edge. I'm now confident climbed in 2001, but, to be sure .... . Solo. Onwards to Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw.Man of Kernow129/08/2018
Impeccable timing by Myrddyn to coincide with my much delayed Nuttall/Dewey bagging trip to Wales. May well have included this one 16 years ago but no record of it. Cycled up from picnic site in Cwm Hirnant.chalky195328/08/2018
Returned with DARRENG to re-complete the English and Welsh marilyns. At least 4th time we have completed. Stop messing.andrew brown26/08/2018

14 mile hard circular walk from the cattle grid at the bottom of the pass, used ill-defined footpaths up onto Pen Y Boncyn Trefeilw, then along lane to Stac Rhos up the lane to Foel Cedig and Cyrniau Nod, back down taking the pretty much pathless ridge to Cefn Gwyntog, descended and forded the stream west above the waterfall, followed lane to road, then followed lane through forest up onto the moors, struggled through hideous pathless heather up onto Cefn Coch, then across more heather to Foel Y Geifr, then down little path onto Trum Y Gwrgedd and Foel Goch back down to car with half an hour of daylight left.DanTrig13/03/2016

34 years later in 2018 I now discover that the mile floundering there and back in rain and thick cloud to hunt among the peat hags and heather for the highest peat hag top of Cyrniau Nod was not strictly necessary due to this marginal higher summit hag.
