Parking space for a few cars at SJ 118 306. Round of Mynydd Tarw, Foel Wen, Cadair Bronwen, Moel yr Henfaes, Cadair Berwyn, Moel Sych, Post Gwyn, Moel Poethion, Godor. Descended through fields to track at SJ 110 302. Couple of farmers by the sheepfold didn't seem unduly concerned by our presence.Geoff Briggs01/09/2019

Short walk from Moel Sych to the new summit of Cadair Berwyn, the rocky outcrop before the shelter where there is no trig point. Fine views of the valleys on either side, great spot for a picnic.giant_hiker03/08/2019
Walked round anti clockwise. Path up to foot of hill lovely. Path up the edge of hill definitely on the edge! Wide area at top. Continued to highest point, the broch (?) and then onto cairn. Didn’t go down the path but carried on to next small cairn (full of wasps) then down to fence and finally to stunning waterfall.elizyanne02/08/2019

Off for a full day hike with a group of friends from Shrewsbury. Parked at the Pistyll Rhaeadr carpark, and a long slow walk up the Nant y Llyn valley. Steep climb up the ridge of Craig y Llyn overlooking Llyn Lluncaws, then a march along the top to bag both Cadair Berwyns, old and new. Easy bagging of Moel Sych on the way back down to Pistyll Rhaeadr across Trum Felen. 700 metre ascents, 7 miles walking, just over 6 hours (but with a big group of children).Cangarwbach19/04/2019
From Blen-y-Dre above Llandrillo, limited parking at track end. Following advice from local, at the mountain gate with the park sign instead of following the path, took the path/track onto ridge. Saves the horrible bog at the small woodland. He was right...great path...over onto Moal Sych and the rocky prominent true summitN.Morters06/04/2019
Along from Moel Sych. Easy walk along ridge with great 360 views at trig point. Steep descent down to Llyn Lluncaws. Then boggy path alongside stream before joining up with sturdy path down to car park.Eliza10023/03/2019

13.2 mile walk from Pistyll Rhaeadr, climbed up path by Nant Y Llyn then followed dried up stream onto the ridge (very rough), went out and back to Godor, then followed ridge over Moel Yr Ewig and lovely trail up face of Cadair Berwyn above the almost dried up tarn, joined ridge up to Cadair Berwyn summit (2nd time) and onto along to Moel Sych (2nd time), then descended path south onto Trum Felen ridge, then cut down the side on grass to footbridge over Afon Disgynfa, climbed on grass then hideous heather to Post Gwyn, then followed ridge pathless but fairly easy terrain all the way to Glan-Hafon (have to cross several fences on ridge one with barbed wire), then descended down lane and path to Pistyll Rhaeadr. Started walk in cloud, but got sunnier as the day went on and very hot, storm clouds towards end, didn't see anyone throughout: 6hrs 35.DanTrig13/07/2018

Solo walk. Start/finish in Tyn-y-Ffridd. Climbed Mynydd Tarw, Foel Wen, Tomle, Cadair Berwyn (both tops), Moel Sych, Moel yr Ewig and Godor ... basically Nuttall route minus Cadair Bronwen. 5 hours. Weather horrendous at times ... squally showers, gales, cold, but sunny spells in afternoon. A good walk; few paths and boggy in places but the escarpment of the main ridge is impressive, especially view of Llyn Lluncaws. Cadair Berwyn is really a forgotten mountain of Wales, despite its height ... saw nobody all day! Have done this one previously.jamessteel10022/12/2016
Solo walk during a weekend trip to Llangollen for a friend's Birthday. Tyn-y-ffridd - Godor - along Nuttalls to Cadair Berwyn - north as far as Moel yr Henfaes - back to Cadair Bronwen - over Tomle ridge - back to Tyn-y-ffridd. Amazing weather with a cloud inversion.AGWilliamson17/12/2016

Then via Cadair Bronwen to the memorial stone, and down the Nant Rhydwilym to Llanarmon. A nice easy stroll, and not too boggy. A bit of road walking at the end, but extremely pleasant.Gill15/08/2014
A big day for me today. My last 10 Nuttalls (excl. Pillar Rock). Walked with Chris. Parking for 3 cars by the river off the road down from the phone box. Nuttall route plus detour to Moel Poethion. Should have known better than to hope for sunshine on this special day. At least the tops were clear and the showers intermittent. Excellent walk and not demanding.ijpowell01/08/2014

We started at grid ref. SJ 073295, Pistyll Rhaeadr car park, head north through gates and follow the signs up the stepped path towards the top of the waterfall (heading north west), once on the level keep watching for a path that heads directly north. Continue on Northly bearing until you hit the cairn at Moel Sych (SJ066318), follow the easy path north to Cader Berwyn (SJ071323) , then on to Cader Bronwen (SJ077346). We headed back to Cader Berwyn and almost to Moel Sych but took a turn east and climbed down to Llyn Lluncaws then followed the path on the left of the valley, crossed over the stream and back to the car park.RutheH18/12/2009

The horseshoe makes for a very nice walk. However, we did this after ten days of dry weather and it was still fairly boggy underfoot. I'd expect it becomes horrendous in wet weather. Important to head back from here, rather than Moel Sych.Richard27/09/2008

For many years it was held that Moel Sych and Cadair Berwyn were the same height, but then the cairn a few hundred yards to the south of Cadair Berwyn’s trig point was surveyed and found to be 3 metres higher. It was here that I lunched, with an impressive view of the lake at the foot of virtually sheer slopes.
