Parked in lay-by near Llanfaredd and followed path up to trig point.Hippy7714/02/2024
From minor road to the east. Gained Access Land via public footpath. Visited a lovely pub in the village afterwards; The Seven Stars Inn. With Jill.Dangerous Dave03/02/2024
From the parking area on the A481/B4567 junction.Up track past Rhiw Rhwstyn to summit, down via Pen-y-waun and Ynilwyn. 4.9 miles out 2hrs 20. Nice hill with green grassy paths.JulieB03/01/2024
From NNW parking on minor road. Up past Neuadd Fach and followed track uphill. Good path to top. Despite recent rain good underfoot. Went from trig to tumulus and then onto the Wylfre tops and Lan-fraith Hill before visiting the North top on way back.18.5km in 4hrs 20 mins.PeterD17/11/2023
I parked in the layby at the junction of the A481 and the B4567. Lovely peaceful walk on to the plateau. It was a sunny day with no wind and it felt warm for November. Visited the trig point and the tumulus. Between the two I cooled my legs in the small tarn. It was a beautiful spot with great views. Only saw one other person and for the most part had the place to myself apart from the Ponies. This has to be one of my favourite hills. Time taken 2 hours 20 minutes including stops for 5.29 miles and 1089 feet of ascent.isabelle11/11/2023
Parked as KeVPalmer.JGC11/11/2023
Same parking and route as Mark Jackson below, apart from initial ascent via Pen y waun and Carneddau ascent via Pantgwin. Very pleasant and enjoyable day with good weather. Picked bilberries for later on Aberedw Hill. With Gillianrichard6909/08/2023
Just after turn off for the minor road leading to Tremaen there is a reasonably sized area to park a few cars on the left. I parked her and walked along the road to the gate on the right for Neuadd Fach. The map shows a path here although there is no footpath sign. I went up through here and it is easy to access the hill. Plenty of tracks leading to the summit. Several ponies about. On the way back there is a footpath sign before the path by Neuadd Fach. I spoke to the resident there who was very friendly and he confirmed that this is the correct right of way. Had a Spitfire fly over atlow level whilst up on the hill.KevPalmer07/08/2023

Parked in layby just off A481, about 100m from chapel. Up road to wooden gate left past cottages, met the lovely landowners here, very nice people. Starts to get steep after the cottages and continues steeply up across to left, 0a5y bears round to right near top and starts to level out, steady walk for 30 mins to summit and trig, return same wayTribal2er16/04/2023
Ran / up down via Rhiw Rhwstyn. Nice autumn day.davechaffey07/09/2022
With Lesley. From the south. Path doesnt resemble route on map so in view of drizzle didn't bother trying to find the alternate path back down which contours southern slopes.Nick Canute22/08/2022
Revisit … last time was 2008 … nice 6 mile run loop from lay by at SO 061508 … up the 4*4 gravel zig zag track … down via the cracking descent to Neuadd Fach … visited the north top as wellmilejunkie14/06/2022
Parked on the minor road to the N, wide verge for several cars before Tremaen. Went up via Rhiw Rhwstyn & then Pen Waun Pool. Good tracks to the other tops & Wylfre's two summits. Five tops in total.DanMaisieBex29/01/2022

Circular hike from small layby leading to Tremain off the A481. Millenium Stone on a barrow and a trig point on the summit. Parking at the layby was tight as it can only accommodate two vehicles at a push.manilena27/08/2021

From the A481, up the road and then steep track to Rhiw Rhwstyn, where the vista opens up to sheep grazed bracken and grass plateau. Lovely walking on grass paths to Aberedw Hill then the two nearby Tumuli. Took the path northwards to bag the North Top before heading back down to the A481.summitter17/09/2020

From 088486 to the South. Up the farm track to the West, sharp right at the farm and the track takes you right up on to the plateau. Just 400m to the trig.NormanW03/10/2019
From the south starting below Cefnhinog per Gill and others. The path is mostly OK. There is a gate at 082499 just below the corner of the BWF, continue up to the corner and onto a nice path that leads up to the pond, from where the trig and several ponies were visible.Topographer5708/09/2019

Parked at A481/B4567 junction so walk could be combined with Carneddau. Ascended via Rhiw Rhwslyn. Descended via right of way starting at 085527 and ending up by the old chapel on the A481 at 079532. Light snow shower on plateau.mindlessflogger27/10/2018
Solo. From lay-by at junction of A481 and B4567 roads. On paths via Noyaddllyd, Tynllwy and Pen-y-waun, the latter being ruined. Visited trig point and the alternative summit before returning same way. Misty with drizzle to start with but it cleared up to give good views from the summits.pwbellarby17/09/2018
Perfect description from Gill. Thanks. Farmer at parking spot stopped and said have a nice walk, so no problem. Hot, sunny and great views.iangalbraith20/07/2018
My penultimate Welsh Marilyn. The route from the NW road junction looked ugly, so I climbed it from Cefnhinog instead. Good parking by the stream to the SW of the farm entrance. Lovely walk up the valley, only a very short bit of wet path near the farm, after that it's great going through fine trees. Higher up, don't follow the footpath sign down into the stream, it's ridiculously steep, just walk up the field and step easily over the BWF onto the moor. Fine stroll to the summit on grassy tracks past several pools, and great views from the top.Gill23/04/2018

16.4 mile walk bagging 7 hills from pass north-west from Painscastle, followed lane across moors to Red Hill, then took path west to end of minor road at Pentre farm, followed minor road for 2.3 miles to Cregrina (saw one car), followed road then overgrown lane into small copse and ascended through a jungle of bracken to Wylfre East Top, continued across grassy moor lanes to Wylfre, Aberedw Hill North Top and Aberedw Hill bagging both tumuli, headed south to small lane through private land back to minor road, headed south on roads passed Court Farm and down to river then followed riverside road to end of open access area then climbed trail not on map (other paths on map don't exist) up to Llanbedr Hill and along lane to Llanbedr Hill East Top back to car. Mostly dull weather with high cloud, saw no other walkers.DanTrig29/07/2017

From Fforest Fields camp site where we were staying. Up through the woods and across the moors to the trig point and back the same way. Lovely day, nice hill, fantastic campsite. With Keith and baby Ross.islamidget07/06/2017
Parked on nearby country road reached via Aberedw. Lovely sunny day, great views.liljonb11/04/2017
From A481/B4567 junction/layby. Followed good tracks up and down.rhalstead18/02/2017
Had planned a leisurely 5 mile route from the NE starting from overnight base at Fforest Fields Caravan/Camping Site near Hundred House, but the overnight rain had been replaced by fog down to about 300m, so decided on shorter route starting to the SE (SO 06892 50066)Light drizzle on the summit but periodic views of the Wye Valley on descent as broke through cloud. Straight forward ascent up farm track to summit rim then footpath throgh grass to trig and summit. Caught a glimpse of ancient cairn to the east and visited in case was higher.mntainman23/11/2016
From lay-by at junction of A481 and B4567. Good path via Rhiw Rhwstyn.Lionel Bidwell30/03/2016
From lane below Cefnhinog farm. ROW goes up a messy sunken lane, no one about so i passed through farmyard and picked up a far better track which followed stream and into wooded area. Further up the track junctions left to pass through the stream bed which is a very steep sided almost gorge like feature. Ignored this and continued straight up into open access area. East top from afar looks like it is trigged, its not -heather tuft. Pool with sunken speedboat..bizarre. Trig has a majestic 360° view. Seriously windy.stig_nest27/03/2016
Couldn't find parking to the west. Did at 096498 on side of road. Followed footpath diagonally across field containing sheep towards corner of wood & the headed up towards what looked highest. Trig was easy spotted as it's painted white.CodyleCoyote16/03/2016

Continuation of walk from Aberedw Hill North Top. Walked down on track to broad bwlch, then up by tracks and paths past pool to trig point. Eventually joined there by CE and companions for her final Pedwar celebration. Then headed over other two tumuli and down east flank of hill to little wood, over fence (barbed) and down to lane near where car parked. With MP, AW and AC.Man of Kernow125/04/2015
