From Powter How with DW on a whhite cloud day with a biting 20mph Westerly. A round of Barf (didn't like Slape Crag). Lord's Seat, Broom Fell (The Half shelter thankfully took 90% of the wind) and Ullister Hill. Descending eventually to the car after some minor forest disorientation til I could see LS and Barf in the same view. Never been to Whinlatter, but got a bit close today LOL!nukeboy126/03/2019

Walked from the Spout Force car park and back with Joanna and Trish. Nice walk. It's a shame that there were no views at the summit though. It was like pea soup. Managed to get back before it got dark and started raining. NOTE - Forgot my Garmin. Doh.DAB8106/01/2019
From Broom fell Lords seat was just a short walk away. Luckily the ground was frozen or I suspect this would have been a very boggy unpleasant section. As it was it was very easy and nice to take the views in. Looking north towards Binsey and sale fell towards the Solway Firth in Scotland. Skiddaw dominating the view east with our next target in site Barf. Nice rocky summit with a metal pole on the summit surrounded by mini Christmas trees.Scotty 2 Hotty02/01/2019

Nice weather for a couple of days so went to do the tops at the North side of Whinlatter. Donald from next door and super pooch Marley joined me. Up through the forest, took in Ullister Hill Birkett, then the Wainwrights Barf, Lords Seat and Broom Fell, popped up the rather uninteresting Tarbarell Moss Birkett on the way down. Road from Braithwaite closed so had to get in via Lorton. 3 more Ws done.Mark T19/10/2018

Ascended from the East over Barf (returned over Barf) - nice steep ascent path. Walked most of the route with Peter from Blackpool whom I met on the way. Nice chatting with someone on the way. As a result of meeting him I also bagged Broom Fell which wasn't on my plan for the walk but it was a nice extra.assynt_bob25/09/2017
Parked at Scawgill car park and walked up the forest track past Darling How before crossing Aiken Beck and climbing up through the plantation following the wall until it entered the open fell. We then followed the trod up to the top of Lords Seat. Quick out & back to Barf then back down via the same route to the car.Stu Percival17/09/2017
First of 4, from the fleshpots of Whinlatter Visitor Centre. Followed the green route, assuming that the maps at the VC made sense, but no, it takes you to some daft viewpoint, then goes a long way downhill. There's a much better way, which I followed down from the summit. Where the silly green route goes up steeply to the right at a fork (easily recognisable), just go left for a much more sensible route direct to the top. A nice hill with good views, spoiled by forestry.Gill02/09/2017

Started from Whinlatter forest park and made our way up to Lord's Seat and then over to Barf before making our way back down through the forest by a different route. The clouds were low and the wind high, so this was the perfect solution to getting a good view on a pretty average day. With Rookie Ramblers.islamidget14/10/2013
