Scramble down little hells gate to climbers traverse, hit Gavel Neese and scrambled over White Napes & on to Great Gable. Amazing clear 360 views all around the Lakes. Down to Windy Gap, up to Green Gable. Quick there and back to Base Brown to almost the top of GG, to Brandeth and Grey Knotts then back towards Beck Head and last slog up Kirk Fell. We were Rewarded with the alt view of GG and amazing vistas over the Scafell Massif. With DW from the top of the lake. Clear to 700m then claggy, then grotty on the top. Typically it all cleared out twenty mins after we'd started our descent.nukeboy118/05/2023

From Honister Pass. W/TH & Teddy. The warning in Wainwright is correct re the descent to Beck Head (Great Gable 22) - avoid the scree runs on the west side if possible, but the path down the angle of the west & north faces is difficult to locate in mist. We ended up on the worn out scree runs, so not sure what the other path is like.Sedge01/03/2023
