With Pete, on a fine day, no cloud on summits. See High Crag log for our unusual ascent onto the ridge. About 3 or 4 other visits, by the standard routes along the main ridge. One since. First was in 1975 on a Black Sail to Buttermere walk, part of a longer 2 day walk from Langdale. The walk along the ridge from High Crag- High Stile- Red Pike is magnificent and hard to beat for the extent of mountain joy for effort.pwheeler08/09/1991
