From end of tarmac road near Camperdown Farm, SX 119790. The policies of Fernacre Farm are private and an irksome detour has to be made N and then E around the plantation and field walls to a bridge at SX 152804 and then up a muddy 'motorway' to the top.Isbjorn03/11/2018

A repeat visit of this impressive and popular viewpoint in sunny, breezy weather. Trig and wide based boulder cairn on top. Onto Butter's Tor and from Little Rough Tor.Denise 25/08/2018
3rd visit. With L and a Darren on a nice gentle logical round of 6 Tumps from the west. In 2012 a campaign was launched to change the unusual comical name to a more respectable original Bronn Wennili. However, apparently locals like it as it is and the Daily Telegraph inevitably called for change campaigners to 'Keep their hands off Brown Willy'Chris Pearson21/08/2018

A county top outing of 4.5 mile's taking just under two hours from the free car park signed for Rough tor. One for a fine evening to catch the sunset over the three tors between Brown Willy and the car park. Navigation should be simple.WAYNE ROWLETT21/04/2018

Walked from the Carpark over rough Tor then up to summit. only was down rescued a man who broke his leg air ambulance was called in, then around rough tor and back to car nice 6 mile walkjmistry8625/02/2018
An excellent walk from the road end near Camperdown Farm. Room for one car amongst the ponies. Easy track, so you can admire the views of Rough Tor and Brown Willy as you stroll along, then a good easy path follows the wall around the plantations and field systems. There's a handy bridge over the De Lank river. Sadly, it has to join the nasty boggy motorway coming from Poldue and heading to the top, but the views are great all the way.Gill25/01/2018

Raining, blowing a full gale and zero visibility - until I was halfway back to the car - when out came the sun. I failed to find the letterbox (it is marked on the OS map). Watched crows playing with the wind... fly low along the windward foot of a crag, pull up and updraft shoots you 50ft vertically, make a lot of happy crow noises, repeat (for about 20 minutes)M3WDD28/06/2015
Solo walk from Camelford, via Showery Tor and Roughtor. Cloud lifted to reveal long views. Two very impressive Bronze Age cairns on the summit ridge. From here visited three brilliant stone circles (Fernacre, Louden Hill and Stannon) on the way back to Camelford.thesweetcheat19/06/2015

Started at New Park Farm 171837. Followed bridleway SW past Oldpark to the moorland which was short dry crunchy grass when we visited. Headed direct to summit and then on to Rough Tor. Returned via the SE edge of Rough Tor plantation which has gates through the fences, so Mrs Mindlessflogger was happy. Saw a few lizards but the moors seem over grazed to me and lack the roughness of the Pennine moors.mindlessflogger09/04/2015
First trip up Brown Willy, straight run from Tolborough Tor starting from the Jamaica Inn. Peaked and added our rock to the top of the cairn. Great views.Scooby Dhub14/02/2015

MY first accent done in the company of good friend and neighbour Liz and her dog Fizzy. Plus a H4H Bear for a photo call. Approaching 60 I've set my self a 'Bucket List' to grab a few high points before I'm too old. I also subscribe to the geograph photo web site and submitted a couple of photos. Finally grabbed a couple of Geocaches en-route. I started doing this with my Grandchildren and got hooked. All told a great day.Anthony Vosper11/07/2014

Very good free CP to NW. Over Rough Tor first, ascending Brown Willy on good path from NW. Maybe not as impressive a top as Rough Tor, but quieter (as further for folks to walk from car park). Excellent views. Didn't find the letterbox, but didn't try very hard either. Continued south over Brownwilly Downs on good path to bag Butter's Tor. PS Highly recommend the Bettle & Chisel pub at Delabole - very good value B&B, good beer and friendly staff.Hillsidenick12/08/2013

Revisit. Nice summit albeit outclassed by Rough Tor which I'd been to in 2002. This time took track from W: signs are progressively GOMLy. CROW access doesn't seem to have penetrated this far: SSSI: permissive path which seems to come via Rough Tor and is doubtless more scenic, although I followed path back to main track W. Early Sun a.m. no-one about, aother than a couple of other runners on the hill.RHW16/09/2007
