From lay-by to East. Trig to the right of path at SZ 00849 81092. The gate to the summit field is padlocked with barbed wire over it. However immediately to the left is a section with no barbed wire.KevPalmer14/01/2024
From the lay-by on Studland Road.islamidget28/09/2023
Up PROW from north. Logged moved pillar first before a quick foray down the track opposite.cjo23/07/2023
From parking spot opposite bridlepath, followed public rightsof way, then over rusty gate next to barbed wire gate then over pointless rope fency thing to summit. Trig now well down the hill. Not sure what that now means for the trig baggers.JulieB18/07/2023
Easy walk up from viewpoint on Corfe to Studland Road and followed paths the whole way. Landowner doesn't want you in the field but barbed wire covered gate was easily climbed and stunning views at the top. There is one space for a car opposite the access path from the road to avoid a slightly busy walk along the road from the viewpoint.PDR36516/05/2023
MC Climbed from parking bay to the E. Misty on top. Electric fences!Martin6610/01/2023
Parked in Swanage and went for a walk, Nine Barrow Down, Ballard Down, on to Old Harry Rocks and the Pinnacle before returning back via the steam railway. Rain, wind and sunshine made it an enjoyable walk.Buck30/10/2022
With J on a sunny afternoon from the viewpoint to NNW. Iffy walk E along road for 100m to start of bridleway. However there is a small pull in with room for one car directly opposite the gate. (Someone had been into the bracken when I was there though!). Disinterested cattle in field before wood. On exit from wood into open access field, followed path to fence/hedge then turned E past giant mushrooms to meeting of 4 fences in SE corner. Easy to jump the fences here & proceed to summit area. Demolished & broken trig still in NE corner of field with the farming tank thing in it. Returned same way except for taking more direct descent to gate where path enters wood.NotReallyABagger20/09/2022
A trip out walking with friends so this was just a short diversion. The Trig point however has been toppled and moved.Anthony Vosper30/06/2022

Walked up to Nine Barrow Down on a gloriously sunny and warm Easter Sunday. Plenty of parking on a layby off Ulwell Road. Crossed over slightly to the right to stile and start of walk at Round Down, up to Nine Barrow Down, as signposted.mazz21/04/2019
Walked from Ulwell, by Swanage, then afterwards via Brenscombe Hill to Corfe Castle.IanHHill21/03/2019
From the viewpoint car park to NW. Cattle in fields near summit also electric fence and many strands of barbed wire. Not recommended route.NormanW11/02/2019
From viewpoint car park at SZ 006818. Requires a short walk E on the busy road to start of path at SZ 008818, but a narrow raised grass bank has a thin path along it to keep one off the tarmac - but don't stumble!Isbjorn05/11/2018

From NT cottage at Currendon Farm along the Purbeck Way. Trig pillar still on its side, gate still topped with barbed wire but the adjacent gate was open!Newton Maximus05/12/2017
With K from north. To reach summit either a fence must crossed or a gate wrapped in barbed wire. Worth it for view which cannot be obtained from right of way.Ashley15/11/2017
With Val. Parked at viewpoint car parking area . Walked along road for about 100m then path to ridge. Tank in field used to locate nearby summit. A mainly wet day but fitted the walk in between showers.mike.hoult07/11/2017

A nice walk from Swanage to Corfe Castle, courtesy of the no. 40 bus from Wareham station, and bracketed by a splendid breakfast in the Salt Pig in Swanage and lunch in the NT tea room at Corfe Castle. The trig point is still there, but it's been chucked over the edge of the track below the gate. In exchange for this act of vandalism, baggers have created a nice wriggle route under the barbed wire next to the gate, so it's now very easy to get into the summit field.Gill20/10/2017
Long loop from Corfe Castle, Chapman's Pool, Swanage and back. Good ridge walk (especially for mountain bikes!)twg2714/10/2017

1/5 Marilyns today. From car park on road to north up row to ridgeline. Bits of barbed and electric fence to negotiate but easy enough.SS05/02/2017
Plenty of parking at viewing point on B3351 north of summit. Short walk back along road to Swanage to pick up bridleway to summit. Summit on fence line west of radio masts 30m NE of water tank in middle of fied which looks higher. apparently there is a demolished trig point despite wandering all around field and towards radio mast saw no sign of it even though the fog had made an attempt to clear.mntainman19/12/2016
