In the area, ringing bells at Rotherfield. Took the opportunity to visit the new highpoint, and wandered around Warren Road. Also revisited the old highpoint. | PGCE | 18/01/2024 |
Parked in Warren Road and wandered along the Deep Dene side of the road and back on the other side. Break in the journey back from a family Xmas do. | richard69 | 20/12/2023 |

Walk w/Devon. Parked Crowborough. Trig, Summit, Black Hill and finished at White Hart Pub for Sunday Roast. | ZacField | 23/07/2023 |
Parked on Warren Road, went to where the GPS said the summit was from hillbagging GR. Walked a few hundred metres down the road to view the trig point in the compound for completeness. On the way from the South Downs to Detling Hill. Don't think I'll be revisiting this one. | JulieB | 14/02/2022 |
A visit on a murky winter's afternoon. Filling up the car at the petrol station down the road was considerably more interesting. | milimana | 17/12/2021 |
Epic trek from Morrisons car park. | Andy West | 06/04/2021 |
Not sure what to say. Parked in Warren Road and stood in the middle of the road where the top appeared to be | ketzster | 31/03/2021 |
With Val. What a pathetic summit! Done on a trip to the SE to tidy up the Marilyns in this area. | mike.hoult | 16/08/2020 |
last of 5 hills bagged today. Had to be done but I don't see the point. | mazz | 16/08/2020 |
Enjoyed a 10 mile walk in a loop including Crowborough. | atreides7887 | 02/08/2020 |
En route from home to Dorking to pick up Jen. | Rounsfell | 03/07/2020 |
Like most, drove down Warren Road looking for trig, made a guess on crest of hill. | Hippy77 | 16/02/2020 |
That enthusiastic about this one I’d driven past the end of the road on two previous trips. So it was third time lucky for this wonderous hump. My undivided attention for all of 5 seconds. Had to be done. Gotta get ‘em all. :-) | Pete West | 28/01/2020 |
6/6 Marilyn Day. Arrived after dark, following a grand day doing the Marilyns of the South Downs. Parked in the residential street and searched for the appropriate entrance drive to bag Crowborough. Then visited tyhe trig. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 27/10/2019 |
Drive up. Pointless, but I was in the area for an orienteering event at nearby Pippingford Park. | davidpettit84 | 20/10/2019 |
Uninspired | Longwojo | 02/08/2019 |

Neither side of road inspired me!! | nickywood1 | 19/11/2018 |
Difficult to choose where to start climbing this hill as it's on a suburban street. Decided to follow the logger who went from the railway station. pleasant little town; coffee afterwards. | IanHHill | 30/09/2018 |
After the nearby laying to rest of my last surviving uncle. Sorry about the negative comments here. A few drive-ups here and there add to the fun of it and contrast nicely with long and trackless bogs and heath. | Topographer57 | 06/08/2018 |
With elizyanne. Did both trig and road to try and create a bit of excitement over this bag. didnt work. | GmacT | 09/07/2018 |
In a lady's drive. She came out and was quite interested. | clivevilla | 17/04/2018 |
9/11 Parked, looked about - gravelled private garden looks higher than road. | SS | 09/02/2018 |
Parked and did the trig in compound then drove up the road to the most boring summit ever! | jmistry86 | 12/01/2018 |

I sometimes question the sanity of Marilyn baggers. | Gill | 06/07/2017 |
With K. I am ashamed that we drove all this way just to bag this. | Ashley | 30/04/2017 |
Yup....really drove and parked up, stretched legs to the trig point. 1st of 8 | N.Morters | 13/04/2017 |
Walked up from the station. One nice section through Crowborough country park, otherwise unremarkable | Mark Jackson | 25/02/2017 |
Parked on summit (almost) on roadside outside Warren Oak. Looked higher on opposite side of road next to gas utility street furniture, but from there high point looked to be in front garden of Warren Oak. Managed to make a walk of it by turning left on A26 and visiting bonus bag of Crowborough (Old GR) and bigger bonus trig pillar. | mntainman | 18/12/2016 |
Almost 100% pointless. | twg27 | 03/10/2016 |
Sixth and final Marilyn of the day. Whilst Crowborough is pleasant enough, the drive-by nature of this one makes it one to tick off rather than particularly enjoy. | Cas-gwent | 04/04/2016 |
Parked at Golf Club and activated for SOTA from within a nearby thicket of trees. Once in a lifetime visit! | M0YDH | 20/03/2016 |
Wandered around the vicinity of Deep Dene on Warren Road to bag this eneventful hill after visiting Scotney Castle. | Peterb | 14/02/2016 |
did trig near reservoir and decided that HP was on nearby Warren Road. cold day. | Denise | 30/01/2016 |
did after visiting old trig point top | Fergalh | 12/12/2015 |
And so, after a splendid day on the South Downs walking Ditchling Beacon, Cliffe Hill, Firle Beacon and Wilmington Hill, it comes down to this ..... | SteveG | 09/12/2015 |
4th visit to this nuisance. Took two visits to get to the former summit at the trig before the summit moved. 1st visit thwarted due to police doing a speed trap watching me, so deterred from climbing into compound, and then returned another time to claim the trig before returning for a 3rd time in 1999 for the new Warren Gardens summit and now 16 years later driving past had another nosey around. Summit cul-de-sac at house named appropriately Folly's End. | Chris Pearson | 07/12/2015 |
Another expertly planned and expertly executed step out of the car | catman | 12/11/2015 |
