From a82. Once on ridge was straight forward enough. Some interesting features on ascent- signs of ancient landslips and numerous holes and fissures. Summit area is a grand spot.stig_nest29/08/2022

Family hike of Beinn a' Chroin and An Caisteal. Nice day out. One short sketchy bit of scrambling for having a child backpack coming off Beinn a' Chroin, maybe why most do the loop the other way.Tisteln09/07/2022

With Iain. Unfortunately in cloud as first of 3 Munros. Great deep clefts in rock on way up and Starry Sax everywhere.iangpark07/07/2022
Parked in lay-by at Derrydaroch and then followed hydro track (not on my map) to the dam at approx NN364214. Made a circuit of Stob Glas, An Caisteal and down Twistin Hill to the two sub Simms followed by a return to the dam and back down the track.BaggerGutt23/06/2022

With Dean, Swot & Ed. Mixture of blustery snow/hail showers & sunny spells. Good views from summit including watching storms pass along mountains & glens. Didn't go on to Beinn a Chroin as we did not have winter kit - we had hoped to be on Skye! Short but great day.Neily There05/05/2021

Great route done it in reverse which i think is a better way. Ran with Brian Smith, weather good but a bit cloudy at times but in general decent views.Route was longer than said in book!Kevthecat12/07/2020
Did this one at the back of Beinn a' Chroin so was a bit of a scramble up to it from that direction very boggy downward section if you head off to the right down to gate on track straight ahead at the turn point might have been less boggy.supermario11/07/2020
Ascent from Glen Faloch (south of Crianlarich). There and back route via Sron Gharbh and Twistin Hill.knarf30/09/2019

A&B. Sunny. Followed by Beinn a' ChroinMorning03/08/2019
From Glen Falloch up Sron Gharbh then Twistin Hill on to An Caisteal summit. After a break and amazing views it was down to Beinn a' Chroin and the tasty scramble up to the west top, then summit, then east top for a longer break and more photos. Back down Beinn a' Chroin's north ridge into Coire Earb for a boggy return to the track then car park. Two brilliant Munros with superb views of big hills all around!Chris Mac06/07/2019
With Sarah. Fine dry day.kbee25/06/2019
3/6 Sron Gharb, Twistin Hill, An Caisteal, Beinn a Chroin West Top, Beinn a Chroin and Beinn a Chroin East Top. Perfect Munro bagging day on the way home from Harris. Nice to walk on a path, if a bit squidgy in the valley home.nickywood122/06/2019

From lay-by on A82, southwest of Crianlarich (NN 36852 23841). Under railway, followed surfaced track to 2nd gate then ascended Sron Gharbh; clear grassy path, occasionally boggy. Along the ridge past Twistin Hill to ascend An Caisteal. Steep descent to Bealach Buidhe followed by a steep ascent to the west top of Beinn a' Chroin involving a couple of awkward scrambles. Onwards to the Munro summit and east top before a straightforward descent down the north ridge to then follow the course of the River Falloch. Very boggy in parts before reaching the surfaced track.david23020103/05/2019
