With E. A sunny day but chilly wind on higher ground meant we didn't linger at summit. From small car park in Millden, note telephone box has been removed. Past Mill of Aucheen and Muir Lodge along estate tracks via Black Crag, where track really rises up steeply, over Wester Cairn to summit. Return via Hill of Saughs, Hill of Turret, across Burn of Turret to rejoin outward track back to car park.Beeliner13/09/2023

Land of bulldozed tracks (and sore feet). Clockwise circuit from Milden over Wester Cairn and returning via Hill of Saughs. Quite a few other people out on the hill.Fife Walking23/04/2022
From Milden Lodge. Good track past Whups Craig, Hill of Turret, to Hill of Saughs, then grassy path to the summit. Descended by the good track south from Wester Cairn, then the grassy track along the east side of the Burn of Turret for the last km. Excellent weather, distant views to Lochnagar and the Cairngorms, slight haze towards the coast.Owen B22/04/2022

9.2 mile circular from phonebox at Millden Lodge. Up minor road to Muir Cottage then along grouse shooting tracks by Burn of Turret contouring the Allrey ridge onto Wester Cairn and Mount Battock summit. From here we descended through a boggy area to Hill of Saughs down track over Hill of Turret contouring Whups Craig back to car. Sunny/high cloud with great views eventhough the munros to the west were in the cloud. We saw 3 other people. 689m ascent overall.DanTrig15/09/2021
