From Auchlean - very cold but little wind and dry - long route across plateau (partially following yesterday’s trail) then down to col and up to summit (crampons needed) - took 10.5 hours - returned in the darkwychwood22/12/2019
Monadh Mor & Beinn Bhrotain with Guy and Forbes. Icy & Snowy, -8degCHuwel01/12/2019
Epic day! Walked solo. From Linn of Dee to White Bridge and along Lairig Ghru path to Corrour Bothy. Steep climb up good path to Devil's Point. Great viewpoint. Returned to col and traversed at around 1000m contour around Cairn Toul and Angel's Peak to point 899m above Loch nan Struirteag. Hardest part of walk ... bogs and boulder runs (not recommended!). Over the massive Munro's Monadh Mor and Beinn Bhrotain to Munro Top Carn Cloich-Mhullinn. Generally easy walking over grassy and bouldery ridges, with occasional faint paths. Descend through heather, avoiding summit of Carn Fiaclach, to path on west side of Glen Dee at the Allt Iarnaidh. Long return to White Bridge (to cross) and Linn of Dee. Weather dry and clear most of day, but closed in after Beinn Bhrotain with a heavy shower and lowering mist. Total distance about 33km ... could be reduced by about 9km with a mountain bike to White Bridge! Took me nearly 12 hours ... due to late start I finished by torchlight!jamessteel10008/08/2019

Left tent (and bikes) at White Bridge at 06.00a.m.and set off up west bank of Dee till headed up left over a smaller peak to B.B. Lovely day - clear views and dry and sunny, but with cold wind. 3 snow buntings on summit when we arrived. first day and hire bikes from Braemar and cycle from Linn of Dee 6 miles to white bridge and north to the slopes under Beinn Bhrotain. Bumpy bike ride haven't put on thermals and get pretty cold legs. Unexcercised lack of fitness in my muscles means they are spasming into cramp within 15 minutes of starting walking up the hill. Mega frustration. Have to let the others go on without me and slowly with many stops to furiously massage my aching muscles I eventually get to the summit of Beinn Bhrotain for a second time since a much fitter nearly 21 year old did it in 1973.vegibagger27/10/1997
On the walk in from Linn of Dee to Corrour bothy... via 2 Munros! Despite feeling wild and remote, the going over Beinn Bhrotian and Monadh Mor was very good- the granite pavements from the first summit, Carn Cloich-mhuilinn were particularly pleasant.pwheeler16/06/1997

We left the track and ascended over Carn Fiaclach Beag and Carn Fiaclach to Carn Cloich-mhuilinn. Rather misty. Celebrations with champagne and a cake. The main party descended over Cairn Geldie.
