Pretty much same route as everyone else. Gate in deer fence at 397 340.colazione22/08/2023
Parked at end of track about 1/2 mile west of Millness. Walked back along main road to locked gate and stile. Over stile and up track through woodland at first and then onto hillside. Some deforestation has been carried out on east side of track. Left track at highest point and climbed over new deer fence at strainer post then up onto open hillside, under pylon line and then up steeper slopes to summit area. On way down I came back to track further east, almost in line with end of Loch Carn nam Badan where there was a large gate in the new deer fence which might be a better point to access the hill if you don't fancy climbing a high deer fence.Jossker16/08/2023

The usual way from the A831. Nice summit. Met a fellow bagger and dog from the Black Isle on the way down.Jon F11/07/2021

Same route as JulieB. Scorching hot on the summit. Even managed to find a pivot bench mark. Delighted.BigJ17/09/2020
Parked in the 1 car parking space nearly opposite the start. Over the stile and up the pylon track to the highest point. Then took off in the direction of the fence, making my way upwards on grassy bits between the heather to the first cairn, then along the ridge to the summit. For a bit of variety on the descent continued about 400m along the ridge to where there is a short steep drop down into a valley. Followed the valley down on animal tracks most of the way to pick up the track by the loch. Uphill along the track back to where the upward route took off and then back down the pylon track. 5.8 miles, 2.5hrs including photo stops etc.JulieB01/08/2020
Parked in same spot as Gill - one car only. Walked forest road until just past highest point . From there easy climb through shortish heather. Also took in Meall Cluainidh which was just off road.garyhoney19/07/2020

If I was to do this again I would walk up the estate road until about 200m from Loch Carn Nan Baden. Then just go straight up to the summit. However my route up was on the road, then the pylon track and through the Heather over to the top. It was fine and Carn nam Bad isn’t bad at all as the view is lovely.elizyanne28/05/2018
A nice hill, perfectly designed for loafing in the sun enjoying the splendid views. Shame about the tedious walk up the forestry track and the Beauly Denny power line. Other notes: There's a decent parking space about 200 m up the road in the Cannich direction on the left. The entrance to Mellness house and the logging road has got a stile, and all other gates can be opened.Gill08/04/2018
