From Doune Hill. Over Beinn Lochain, then to the col and easily along the fence.Owen B22/04/2023
Managed to arrive early enough to park at the start of the minor road up the glen. An anti-clockwise round of 4 Marilyns, 2 Simms and a sub-Simm.Minto05/02/2023
From Luss. Beinn Eich - Doune Hill - Cruach an t-Sidhein. Dismal day of rain and mist. Followed fence to top. Fence top is barbed wired and has NO crossing stile or gate near the top. I stayed on the left hand side from Beinn Eich.Jhimmy30/04/2022
From Beinn Eich as part of round of four Luss Grahams.MichaelF27/03/2022
Camped overnight on Beinn Lochaline with Steve & Gavin. A lovely early morning up on the summit. Not a cloud in the sky. Descended to Glen Luss, then a long walk back to Luss.Dangerous Dave20/03/2022
A nasty early start from the Invergroin CP for a round of 4 Luss Grahams from Doune. Decent ATV track up the glen and over the river to get through tussocks and onto the W ridge of Mid Hill easy enough to top. Down good but steep, then boggy path to road and detour around Edentaggart, over Beinn Eich, traverse to Cruach an t-Sithein, then back to Doune Hill, Doune Hill E top, then the steep and sh1tey ATV track back to Doune.Gill16/03/2022

From the hillwalkers' CP in Glen Douglas, taking the ATV track up Doune Hill East, crossing the steep bealach to Doune Hill and going over Beinn Lochain to the shapely but inconsiderately located Cruach an t-Sidhein, before redescending and traversing to the dip in the ridge before Beinn Eich. From there I returned over Beinn Lochain, Doune Hill and Doune Hill East, passing just below the summits of the first two and following a sheep trod that contours around Doune Hill East before rejoining the ATV track and is clearly visible on descent from Doune Hill, starting from the outflow of the lochan in the bealach.Nick Down117/04/2021
Round of four Grahams from Luss on the only decent day this weekColin Crawford30/10/2020
from Glen Luss, via Beinn Eich and Doune Hill. Afterwards to Glen Douglas, but this involves big detour around MOD installation.IanHHill17/09/2020
Parked at Luss. Intended to cycle up glen but bike broke, so walked, starting 9:05. Good path over Beinn Dubh to Mid Hill (11:15). Then trackless descent of W ridge before long climb up to Doune Hill. Made for col, missing NE top, then up to summit (13:05). Continued to Cruach an t'Sidhean, contouring Beinn Lochain. Trackless again, steeply up fence to summit (14:20). Back to col, contoured S of B Lochain then up ridge to Beinn Eich (15:50). Followed path down ridge to Edentaggart and back to Luss (17:40). Dry, some sun, warm; wet underfoot initially after rain. Higher tops around under cloud, but good views. Good day.dbb14/09/2020
Leave Doune Hill East Top to the SW, skirting round north and east shoulder of Beinn Lochain (pick this up on the way to Beinn Eich) heading for col at 515m spot height. Climbed over new fence hand railing east side all way to summit. Before crossing fence turn left there is a corner to follow fence on west side without climbing over.mntainman02/08/2020
With Tatiana & Skye Started from NS274899, passing dam and col @ NS275934 contoured round hill at 350m summited Cruach an t Sithein. Followed fence to col and up Beinn a’ Mhanaich. Descended the ridge back to the carGrimpeur123419/07/2020

From Glen Douglas CP east of Invergroin, cycle west to 296990 then heavy going detour around the eastern perimeter of the area closed off by the military. Above the top of this area, a bridge with yellow railings and two red lifebuoys crosses the Cona Ghleann, from where the north ridge can be gained.Topographer5729/03/2018

8th Hill of 14 on an epic 14 hill horseshoe from the Alderdale B&B in Luss, climbing Cruach Dubh, Beinn Ruisg, Creag an Leinibh, Balcnock, Beinn Tharsuinn, Beinn Chaorach and Beinn a'Mhainich, descending steeply Nne before profiling around to the fenceline to climb up past Conifer woodland taking regular breaks before reaching the relatively small summit area complete with cairn. My gps recorded the summit as 689m @ NS 27519 96480. Wind speed high so did not stay long. Headed off NE towards Beinn Lochain...Dazingdale03/10/2017

Cruac t-Sidhein (NS 275964) S/F NS 296991. Deceptively tiring for a hill of such modest stature. Detour round MOD base followed by steep ascent. Lot of contouring in to valley and useful bridge at about 270 m height. Second relatively steep ascent to ridge then along ridge to summit. Cold day with very strong freezing wind at summit. Broken cloud varying in height, summit clear on approach but hill fog when there limiting visibility. Snow coving sheltered slopes to about 350 m Knees and ankles ache for 1st time in years from contouring.John Young01/01/2013
