my 1200th HUMP From Dent viaduct. Then up PROW to ventilation shaft with a train passing underneath. A new track being laid from SW direction connecting to private forest track network with archaeological dig just completed of navvy work camp. Along grass path then up fence line, boggy in places. A few voles around but only snow seen were remnants on distant 3 peaks.cjo28/01/2024

From Ribblehead via railway line and air shafts to boundary fence. Then along fence to the summit. lovely views of the Three Peaks and Pendle. Headed due east over tussocky and boggy ground to intercept Black Rake Road - more a path than a track - and back to the car.Hugh Taylor07/09/2022

2/2 Parked on the side road to Dent and walked up track to this summit, short detour to the West to the actual top. Then continued West along the road to pick up the Dales Way South, then up the Fence Line to Blea Moor. Returned by walking north and NW along fenceline and then using the path down over the top of the rail tunnel, and through woodland tracks back to car (marked private but ok to walk along).nickywood110/10/2021
Round of 3 Dodds from 790835. Along the Ribble Way then up beside the fence, until 150m from the top. My 100TH Dodd this year.NormanW05/09/2021
Barbed wire and 'Private No Trespassing' signs at entrance to Mossy Bottom woods (SD781840) so started at SD786836, difficult and limited parking, good PFP to gate then R, N, around fence perimeter of 'restricted open access area', (layout of fences on ground and on map do not correspond), awful pathless Grade 3+ veg (worse than irksome, not quite purgatory) - not recommended, find another way if you would like to enjoy it.Isbjorn23/07/2021
From SD78628360 via Black Rake Road and boundary fence. TP seems higher than fence post alternative. Return via tunnel air shaft path and Dent Head Farm (shooting going on in Mossy Bottom Forest and abundance of 'PRIVATE' signs).summitsup05/05/2021
Blea Moor, Great Knoutberry Hill, Wold Fellkeithouk02/04/2021
Parked up near Stoops Moss. Track south, then across broken boggy ground to summit - wide open space but seems further than it looks. Returned same routewychwood22/12/2020
Parked just of the B6255 on the minor road leading in to Dent dale for three tops Redshaw Moss, Wold fell and Blea moor Eleven and half miles in four and three quarters of an hour. For Blea moor I followed the Ribble way also named Black rake road to a gate and followed the fence uphill to a three way junction where you should see the white trig.WAYNE ROWLETT06/07/2020
Footpath from the north. Trig and other possible highpoint. Best to avoid the private Moss Bottom forest as I heard random gun shots!PGCE02/06/2020

From the north using Bleamoor Tunnel path returning by Dales Way. The forest track at Mossy Bottom is private no access allowed.BLACKHILL12/01/2019
From the toad cop below Wold Fell. Down the road to South leading Bridleway. Used this to first gate then followed fence lines all way to near summit trig. 33 years since I had passed nearby of the FP above railway line. After a dry spell this way in was ok however returned by following good line to ventilation shaft and then forest track to road. 1 km stroll back to car. The forest route a lot easier than the moorland plod. With Jenx and Bryhernordicstar06/01/2019
Circular route from high point on road via tussocky bog to the top then easier back via forest and road.jenx06/01/2019
Up from road summit back down RoW, past Blea Moor Tunnel entrance. Denied permission to cycle down the Private track as in use by cretins out shooting in all directions. Trig and fence bagged.Eddie05/09/2018

Approach from Grt Knoutberry Hill. Views good although all of Yorks 3Peaks in cloud.ger12/06/2017
With K. Resident at bridge end cottage very aggressive. Recommend trespass along forestry track rather than trying to use right of way.Ashley11/06/2017
Parked in wide entrance to forest track at 781840 - Along track for 1km to padlocked barrier - From just before barrier a good path heads up past the air shaft to fence & stile - Over stile & then up ATV track alongside fence to summit trig point. (S)gerrybowes03/06/2017
Parked at 781840 at the edge of the forest. Followed the forest track to a gate and on the left there is a distinct path which goes beyond the the air shaft before you turn left to the summit. Solo taking 1 hour and a half.bolton24/05/2017
Along private road through forest between Newby Head and Dentdale viaduct then up by path to air shaft then on to ridge fence and trig point/summit. Excellent views, Ingleborough and its limestone base showing the fascination of the Craven area. Followed the fp all the way down to Dentdale viaduct- a nice route, just 10 min up road back to start. Enjoyaable on a sunny day in very dry conditions.pwheeler11/05/2017
A pleasant summit, but the route from the track at Newby Head is boggy with tussocks.JohnW29/09/2016

From Ribblehead with Jody, made our own path up to crag of Blea Moor before descending to take the main footpath up Whernside. Perfect clear conditions for the walk, with fog in the valleys to the south which reached us by sunset - made for an interesting drive home!the_adam06/04/2015
Along private road through forest then up by path to air shaft then on to ridge fence and trig point in heavy winds but drying conditions.SS25/10/2014
