After Leathad an Taobhain, from top track in forestry to E. Left bike about 100m down from trees, then out-and back in the clag over E lump in 2hrs 15mins. Some rough going, strong wind and heavy-ish rain which stopped just as I got back to the bike. Pretty grim but ride back to van in Glen Feshie was great. Rounsfell05/10/2023
The track shown from Bhran Cottage to the col does exist once climbing the hill but not across the first flat 500m at the bottom. Does make the ascent easier.49pp07/06/2023
e-bike up Glen Tromie. Overshot Bhran Cottage to new house and bridge to Gaick pass. Climbed very steep deep heather with soft moss that gave no traction. Descent on better line. Cycle back to Drumguish.langskill23/05/2023
Solo. Parking in woodland NW of Drumguish. Cycle in to dam over Allt Bhran. Straight up and down to summit. Chased by the rain on way back. Bit wet on the bike. Nice, easy cycle for those wanting bike/hike.DampandDusty20/05/2023
Great outing on a cold day with Tony. Very good track. Easy underfoot on ridge.HardenC10/03/2023
1 of 4: From B970 CP at 779996. Along Speyside Way to Tromie Bridge: 10mins. Then to Bhran Cottage. Ascended from south end of lochan. Deep heather. ATV further north to the col would be much better. With Karen.ChrisR09/11/2022
With John from Drumguish - walk in via Glen Tromie, and return via Croidh-La. Windy with intermitted sun and rain. Total time: 5h 45min.mproudfoot08/10/2022
Jogged up path from Drumguish & over Croidh-la; dry, breezy, mostly cloudy but moments of warm sunshine. Cool in the wind. Some lovely views.NorfolkPT2115/07/2022

Parked in woods along road to Drumguish (NN790997), cycled S along road in Glen Tromie to Bhran Cottage (tarmac S of Lynaberack Lodge), took track up to col between Meallach Bheag and Meallach Mhòr (v indistinct and boggy at first, much better further on), on tracks up N ridge to summit of Meallach Mhòr, continued E over Meall an Dubh-chadha, descended to col on intermittent ATV tracks, and up to track along N side of conifer wood SW of Carn Dearg, followed good track to ca NN818905, then up slopes to col and NE to summit of Càrn Dearg Mòr, returned along ridge on ATV tracks across col to summit of Carn Dearg, descended SW to wood and then along its W edge down to a new hydro (?) road ca NN799890, followed that to its end near ford at ca NN789891 (bridge being built?), along foot track on N side of Allt Bhran to dam at NN776893, crossed there, and took semi-paved road on S side, continuing to a bridge and back to Bhran Cottage, cycled back to Drumguish (6h55m [5h20m from Bhran])kdbennett09/06/2022
Parked in woods leading to Drumguish. Long walk on dirt tracks then tarmac. Missed the mountain path early on, but found it fairly late on. Very hot and sunny day. Dedicated to what would have been my Mum's 97th birthday.Jhimmy04/06/2022
Parked on minor road just before Drumguish. Path through the woods to the excellent main track up the glen. Construction of a very impressive dry stone wall going on by Killiehuntly. Grassy track heads up towards Coire Bhealaich at 766938, left it at 450m asl, then pathless through thick heather to the col between Bheag and Mhor. Narrow path through the heather up the ridgeline to the summit. Strong south westerly from the col to the summit, made a hasty retreat, retracing steps.Owen B25/05/2022
Parked in layby around corner from Tromie Bridge. Cycled up the glen to Bhran Cottage. Then tried to pick up the path shown on 1:50000 map which doesn't exist on the lower slopes. Bit of a bog hop over wet ground to get to the path. Up to the coll. Meallach Mor and then Meallach Beag.Fife Walking01/05/2022
Parked near Tromie Bridge. Parking provision poor. Cycled in to Brahn, walked up by quad track then path to summit. With MoiraColB19/03/2022

With John. Glorious sunny day. By mountain bike then circuit on foot. Veryhappybunny22/06/2021
We parked in a space just along the private road from Tromie Bridge then walked up said road until the start of the footpath at 788978. This really pleasant narrow path meanders through heather and young pines and birch all the way to Croidh-la, then continues to Coach-mheall. The next stretch to Meallach Bheag is less obvious but does keep you on the high ground. Meallach Mhor was snow-topped but easily surmounted via a further narrow path through the heather and stone, then turning east to Meall an Dubh-chadha presented the worse ground of the circuit - peat hags and no discernible footpath. An ATV track from the summit heads down the northern flank, eventually meeting a non-metalled road, presumably installed to aid the vast woodland establishment throughout Gleann Chomnraig. It eventually comes close to the footpath we initially climbed that morning, enabling easy descent back to Glen Tromie. 5.15 hrs total walk.summitter12/04/2021

Walked up from Drumguish, up Glen Tromie to Bhran Cottage, then up via Allt an Tulaich making for an obvious ATV track, then the W ridge by a cairn. A good walk- I'd never been up this lovely (except the lodge) glen, nor enjoyed the fascinating views to the Minigaig and Gaick, while climbing Munros. Very dry condtions. Bright with a few showers around but cloud base 3000 ft +.pwheeler17/07/2018
Climbed alone. Parked car at Drumguish, walked up road through Glen Tromie, then overgrown path from Bhran Cottage. Dreich, no view from summit.187lenny11/07/2018

Parked in Drumguish by the post box. Easy walk in along Glen Tromie road. Icy approaching summit. Back along ridge over Meallach Bheag, Clach mheall and Croidh-ta. Solo.Dangerous Dave20/03/2018
A glorious sunny day with a cool breeze. By bike to just past Bhran Cottage. Up Meallach Mhor starting up the Allt an Tulaich on a short ATV track, then easy going to the top. Over Meall an Dubh-cadha on a faint path, and then an ATV track to the bealach. Up rough stuff to Sgor Dearg, and easy short heather over Carn Dearg (there's an ATV track too). Ghastly track to Carn Dearg Mor, but nothing can spoil the view from the top. Down the track, then to the Allt Bhran. The path shown on the map is an OS fantasy, but it's a lovely walk down all the same. More pleasant to cross the river to the landrover track for the last part.Gill05/05/2017

Track too icy treacherous for a bike. So long walk over the Sims to the main top in snowshoes. And then even longer walk back on estate road finishing in the dark.Martin R22/01/2015

Biked in for about 4 miles up from Tromie bridge then a round of this and the 6 Graham tops. A good day, nice route. got wet crossing burn on return leg but would manage it dry in normal weather (it had been very wet. Very steep final descent from Croidh-ladickscroop09/10/2014
19th – Solo. Continuation of overnight Bivi trip, overnight upper River Feshie. Followed the highest tops in general WNW direction to Leathad an Taobhain. Picked up good track heading N, left track to summit Carn Dearg Mor via SW ridge, then headed W taking direct line to Meallach Mhor. Walk out N through Glen Tromie to Kingussie. Cool, dry day, light winds, broken cloud above summits.RGibbs28/09/2014

First hill of 2014. Seven mile drive in from the north to park SW of Meallach Mhor. Snow squall blew in before getting to summit and stayed gently falling snow as I tramped out east to SIM Meall an Dubh-chadha causing abandonment of plans to go north to other tops but clear and sunny again as I descended SW back to valleyvegibagger25/01/2014
