Buidhe Bheinn from Glen Shiel with John. Started from layby near Malagain and followed track up to a small wooden bridge across to the W side of Allt Malagain. Followed path along Allt Malagain all the way up to around 400m and then lost path so headed straight up the rough steep hillside to Bealach Duibh Leach. Headed mostly W to Sgurr a Bhac Chaolais - formerly a corbett - and went over to the summit to check out the views across to Sgurr na Sgine. Then descrnded down to the undulating ridge across to Buidhe Bheinn - first heading SE, then SW, taking in some very steep descents and re-ascents. Finally reached summit with some great views over to Loch Hourn, the Kintail mountains and the Loch Quoich peaks. Returned back the same way we came. Very cold and icy day - the path was treacherous in parts, with snow above 700m. Total time 7h 5min.mproudfoot03/12/2023
Parking at Kinloch Hourn (NG948066). A difficult road for last mile. To Lodge, up thro woods and then NW up trench under power lines to high point, where stake marks start of stalkers tk. Up this and R at fork to marker cairn (NG955080). Then no FP through outcrops to Buidhe Bheinn W top. Knife edge ridge to Buidhe Bheinn then start of faint descent on W side of steep nose hard to identify. Easier on to Buidhe Bheinn N top then descent on W side of wall to walled mini-bealach, easy up to Cadha nam Bo Ruadha. Return to mini-bealach for rough grassy descent to Bealach Coire Sgoireadail. Stalkers path down Coire Sgoireadail hard to follow. Forded Allt Coire Sgoireadail at about NG965073. Uphill under the power lines for descent back through trees. Very rough, and slow going after aforementioned marker cairnIsbjorn30/09/2023

Solo. From the car park at Kinlochhourn to the lodge and up the track through the woods and along the pylons. Followed stalkers' path which goes a long way up Buidhe Bheinn West Top, then easily to the summit. A little bit of scrambling down the ridge towards the main top, then easily up to the main top. Returned down Coire Lair and the rather wet track to Loch Coire Shùbh. Beautiful Summer day with excellent visibility. By this ascent I have completed the ascents of all the Corbetts on the current list. When I originally completed the Corbetts, Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais and what is now called Buidhe Bheinn West Top were jointly the Corbett.pwbellarby12/08/2022
From Kinloch Hourn. Track up Cadha Mor, then excellent going up the north westerly of the stalkers' paths to 680m, then steeply up to the west top, rocky ridge to the main summit. Retraced steps to the car. Very warm, cloudless, calm weather, dreadful bugs high up, but fantastic views, inversion low cloud over the sea lochs. Cold apple juice + coffee at the tea room afterwards, bliss.Owen B25/08/2021

From Kinloch Hourm, Arnisdale track up to 250m, stalkers path to 700m then grassy gully up to west top. Rocky ridge to bealach then easily up to main summit. Descended smooth south face back down to 300m to pick up another path back down to Arnizdale track.Topographer5719/06/2021
From Glen Shiel - path to Bealach Duibh Leac, to Spur a Bhac Chaolais, along the very rugged ridge over Cadha nam Bo Ruadha then a scramble up the final ridge. Returned via the same route. Splendid route, character like the Rough Bounds. Very cold for May, but clear and with excellent visibilityRockdoctor02/05/2021
Climbed with Richard, clear and sunny day.amcculloch29/09/2020
From Kinlochhourn, via the stalkers tracks and west summit. Beautiful day after early mist. Scariest bit was the road down, steep and in quite poor condition.douglas_easton27/09/2020

Circuit of Bhuidhe Bheinn and Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais from just N of Coireshubh. Set off along good path running high above Kinloch Hourn on a day with forecast heavy rain and thunderstorms (it turned out just a couple of showers and drizzle). Climbed roughly NNW (very steep) to reach Buidhe Bheinn West Top, then nice traverse to the Corbett, a couple of tops then Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais, descent to Bealach Duibh Leac via Sgurr a'Bhac Chaolais East Top. Traverse to join path running back to start, camping close to a knoll in still midgy conditions.RobertP27/05/2017

Glen Shiel - Bealach Dubh Leac - Sgurr a'Bhac Chaloais - Buidhe Bheinn and return. Significant snow cover and mist together with significant ascent and re-ascents made this a challenging mid-winter route.benalder28411/02/2017
Ascended from Arnisdale via Beinn Clachach and Gleann Dubh Lochain. Traversed entire ridge round to Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais. Returned to Bealach Duibh Leac and down Stalker's path to Malagan.raffemeister23/10/2016

two days after my final Munro and the exciting day of finally surveying Sa'BCh and Buidhe Bheinn, having been championing BB since various letters to OS in 95/96 about its height and eventually getting out of them that new Metric data was available but not yet on the map and that it was 885m. also included going over all the various tops including the SW top. The result was a great triumph to have BB reinstated as the Corbett and Marilynvegibagger05/09/2012

With Smithy from Glen Shiel. Followed path up to Bealach Duibh Leac & then up to top of Sgurr a'Bhac Chaolais. Continued round fine ridge to twin summit of Buidhe Bheinn which was worth it for the walk never mind the fact that the Corbett was reassigned sometime later! Back to Sgurr a'Bhac Chaolais & then on to Sgurr na Sgine & The Saddle by which point the Cluanie Curtain had descended. Dropped into the glen & back to the start.NotReallyABagger01/09/2003

From west top. 3/4 m to top. 300' drop, path very spasmodic, hazardous drop to south of vertical slabs and to top. 4 derisory stones in a pile on a boulder. Magic views.arranc13/07/2002

MC JC DC. Climbed from Scottas in Inverie on the last day of a hot holiday week. Climbed directly on to Sgurr Coirenan Gobhar through deep undergrowth trees and sporadic cliffs. tough going. Great views from the summit to the Rough Bounds peaks and to the Ben which was still holding a lot of snow. Thought we could see Schiehallion?Martin6613/05/2001
