Ben Chonzie via Glen Lednock, Walkhighlands routehummusg18/03/2024
Circuit of Ben Chonzie from Glen Turret carpark at south end of loch going over all the tumps en route. Snow in the ground , soft, recently fallen, not hard . With Richard and Anne Marie( met at carpark) . Dry , foggy spells, also good views, grey skies.Denise 05/03/2024

From Invergeldie. Track to dam, kept left to follow shortcut path shown on OS 50000 map but it petered out and crossing burn was tricky as stepping stones were very icy. Back on track to Point 644, rough but thankfully frozen ground to Dundornie, SE using track and off-piste to Ben Chonzie. Standard route back to Invergeldie.TRG31829/11/2023
Up from Glen Lednock using the good track upto the turn off then along the boggy path (post storm Babet) to the top. Some early winter snow near the summitrobphys24/10/2023

From parking at Invergeldie. Started out in pouring rain, but luckily it cleared and we were luck enough to have a clear (but windy) view from the summit.Lazylizzie21/08/2023
Parked at Loch Turret Car Park, started up the east side of the loch to Ben Chonzie, then back down the west side of the loch to Carn Chois and then back to the dam. 18km in 5 hours.SootAndShale02/07/2023
From Turret Dam car park up E slope of Carn Turret on faint track. Rougher over to Carn Turret SW top. Picked up good path near fence to Carn Chois & on to Ben Chonzie. Obvious path up & down Biorach a Mheannain. Steeply down to NE reservoir track back to dam. 20km 868m climb on very dry ground in warm sun.Lynnebe14/06/2023
SHC walk from Loch Turret dam, anticlockwise round the loch, returning over Carn Chois.TRG31811/06/2023
From Glen Lednock, via Kingarth and Carroglen. Mountain track to bealach between Carn Chois and Meall na Seide. Follow fence line over Meall na Seide, Creag Dhubh an t-Sileidgh to Ben Chonzie. Return via same route. Evening/night walk.raymooremanx20/05/2023
From Loch Turret reservoir car park. CW circular walk to Carn Chois - Ben Chonzie - Biorach a Mheannain - A'Chairidh - Auchnafree Hill. In cloud most of the day from the car park, with some rain coming later than forecast. Mostly cleared up by final descent so some views back up the valley. Good paths to Chonzie then largely free format thereafter - old remaining fence posts a useful handrail at times. Steep descent back down to reservoir. With Gillian.richard6930/04/2023
Nice intro to official Munro bagging. Very slow as I need to increase fitness and conditioning. Thick mist above 500m both a blessing and a curse. Not seeing the top looming above probably would've felt intimidating on my first ascent of anything in a long time. Very glad of a clear path and the fence posts to follow at the top as navigation would've been a chore otherwise. Saw a herd of hundreds of deer after getting back down to ground level.thegecko29/04/2023
From Loch Turret resv with Dan ( sort of interesting on YouTube). Having walked Schiehallion the day before the legs were a bit wooly but the long walk in along the res got the legs warmed up nicely. Climb from end of track was a bit wet but never really bad. Corrie head wall steep & loose but never technical. Dusting of snow on the climb to summit from Beallach. Very cold in wind up top. Super views. Return same way with micro spikes on for extra grip.stig_nest26/03/2023

Sunny day good vis and snow patches, very busy. Kristian and Roxy with Oscar.TamCollie28/01/2023
Route over Ben Chonzie in ideal winter conditions from Glen Turret. Snow and sunshine, cold temperatures. Parked near water works as road slippery with snow beyond that point. Walk to dam then across and followed path NW before heading up to ridge and climbing Carn Chois. Continued along ridge, camping by top of Meall na Seide. Continued to Ben Chonzie, then Biorach a' Mheannain, descent NE from summit then S to reach Loch Turret and track back to reach access road.RobertP12/12/2022
From Loch Turret car park, across the dam and followed easy path with gradual ascent to Carn Chois, Meall na Seide and Ben Chonzie. Steep and wet descent around north of Lochan Uaine and long walk back along track to east of Loch Turret.TRG31828/08/2022

Munro #282 for me - clockwise loop from Loch Turret car park with John, Harrison and Ian. Crossed dam and along west side of Loch Turret before heading up to Carn Chois and along to Meal na Seide and along to Chonzie. Started misty down at the dam, but was blue skies and hot the time we got up above 500m. AFter a summit celebration, we headed down Bealach na Gaoith and to the track back out along the east side of Loch Turret back to the car. 5h 17min total time.mproudfoot13/08/2022
A slightly ambitious, but successful, attempt to pick up Ben Chonzie on the way up from Keswick to Braemar. Parked at Coishavachan.Mark Jackson04/08/2022

10th ascent. From Loch Turret with Alasdair.duchally03/04/2022
11.9 mile circular from Loch Turret dam car park. Followed track shown on map along south shore of reservoir, this turns into an easy-to-follow trail all the way to the top of Carn Chois, followed ok slightly boggy path along the broad ridge to Ben Chonzie then descended north-east onto Biorrach a' Mheannain. We avoided steep drop and contoured down to pathless Moine Bheag picking up good track along opposite side of reservoir. Only saw a few other people all day. Sunny but hazy as there was no wind but the views of the snow-capped Lawers range were great. Snow patches still about and hard to avoid when descending Ben Chonzie. 921 m ascent.DanTrig21/03/2022

2/2 Time includes 1h 21m cycling. From N with Auchnafree. Biked to Larichfraskhan, looped from there on foot. Very windy, cold wind. Sunny bits, some very light showers, both summits clear. Rounsfell03/11/2021

Christmas Eve plod in snow. very cold, which meant that any boggy bits were solid. up on the top for sunrise is definitely worth it. Up and back in 3hrs.Nicky C24/12/2020
Start Glen Lednock, about 30 cars parked, nice sunny day, great views, 8.5 miles 5 hours with Chris.Hutchie17/09/2020
Long but fairly easy trek up along track most of the way. Very round summit in mist, which seemed to take forever to arrive.Mountainhikes16/09/2020

2 collapsed and abandonned tents found 50m north of summit: weather was blowing a houlie and this was not the place for lightweight tents! Loch Turret circuit. Carn Chois, Ben Chonzie, Biorach a'Mheannain, A' Chairidh, Auchnafree, Stonefield Hill, Choinneachain Hill.PGCE05/07/2020
Ben Chonzie with Amy. Last escape from Edinburgh pre-lockdown. The unexpected twist was getting home to discover we were a rucksack short (not mine...) and then getting to drive all the way back to Comrie to collect it from the carpark...killiedaft21/03/2020
From Coishavachan, Glen Lednock by Walkhighlands route. Just under four hours returnCrib Goch17/09/2019
This Munro gets a bad press but the weather was great (except for a bit of wind on the summit) views were good and it was a very pleasant. I think it's because of the fact that it's mainly a track most of the way. Took the route up from Invergeldie and back the same way. Took 4 hours.tsharp13/09/2019
