Second ascent of this Munro. Went up Great Stone Shoot and up to summit. Bagged with Simon Turner. Nice to get a view this time.assynt_bob27/08/2022
From Thearlaich, perfectly hideous traverse to Alasdair, then home via the great stone shoot. Good on the way down, look for the light small rocks, they slide with you downwards in a mostly controlled fashion! Breathtaking views, hot and mostly sunny.iangalbraith14/08/2022
Day 1 on Skye, tough day out with poor visibility but great day with technical walking and great scrambling made up for the lack of views.Kevthecat03/07/2022
3rd of 3. Some mental roped up scrambles that were way outside my comfort zone. Came up the back from Dubh Mor and down the stone shoot which was tough going.akmilne27/06/2022

Solo from Glenbrittle via the Great (!) Stone Chute. 5am start from the camp site meant I was able to hit the summit, and be on my way back down the path below Coire Lagan before seeing anyone else. The stone chute was quite unpleasant going up, but seemed a bit easier on the descent. The scramble at the top was very straight forward, no real technical or avoidable exposed sections, though the summit is fairly small. Was fortunate to get to the summit during a period of blue skies and clarity, but by the time I was half way back down to the car, i could see the tops all covered in cloud. Southern 8 Cuillins climbed on rather wet day. An attempt to climb all 11, but plans changed due to weather. 22km, 13h, 2000m elevation gain.ytropek30/08/2020
Part of a half round of Corie Lagan.atreides788729/05/2019
Solo fr car parked by Glen Brittle campsite, mostly running on improved path to Coir' a' Ghrunnda then scrambled up Eag, the Dubhs, and up without real difficulty to here. Tops all clear with a light dusting of snow, but rather hazy. Then went down Stone Shoot - too fast, really, perhaps showing off that I'm a runner; one or two bigger stones bashed my ankles and shins and I was in pain for a day or two after running back fr Coire Lagan to the car! Nights before and after this I camped at Sligachan - site v quiet - then moved to B&B in Portree, one day doing LoTRO in Library!NorfolkPT2108/04/2019

not such great weather. but a great hill.gettingonabit21/06/2017
An ideal day sunny cool air walking up from Glen Brittle campsite after a luxury coffee. The steady walk to the base of the great stone shoot an old volcanic crater, populated by a range of bivouac stone walls created by a bivouac building workshop it would seem. The stone shoot delivered what it promised a moving hillside on the way up and the way down. The summit was airy with tremendous views all round. Three young climbers were tripping across the sloping slabs above the void an all sides.. With tremendous effort we descended the GSS slipping, sliding and grinding or way down the GSS and on back to the Glen floor.david.walker4015/05/2016
