The Ochils Mountaineering Club had a trip to Glen Brittle Campsite planned for last weekend, but the forecast meant most of us bailed on it. A few hardy souls went up anyway and I joined them on Wednesday. On Thursday, Karen Webber, Andy Moffat, Colin Craig and I, bagged Sgurr Mhic Coinnich (948m) a Munro. Ascending the An Stac screes from Coire Lagan (which was very unsettling). Then Karen and Colin lead the two pitches, so I could second up onto the Innaccesible Pinnacle (986m) my 190th Munro. That was some experience in the breezy conditions on an exposed shard of rock......chillyman804/05/2023

First experience of the main Cuillin ridge what a great place. The weather was warm dry and sunny although rather hazy. I climbed the Inaccessible Pinnacle and touched the high point. I also took in Sgurr Mhic Choinich which was quite an exposed scramble. I am grateful to my guide who made the day. Guide was Ron Walkerisabelle21/09/2014

1st of 2. Joe and I hired guide Jonah Jones to take us up the Pinn. He sets a decent pace, but youy do get a break every 1000 ft of ascent :D I didn't find the Pinn hard at all, it's all very safe and matter of fact :)bowzi19/06/2014

First walk in The Cuillins - absolutley stunning scenary - the best I have seen of anywhere in the UK. Menacing beauty! Did the walk with Rach & Gillian from Skye Guides. Weather was perfect - not a cloud in the sky and the sun was shining. The InPin was good fun and not as difficult as expected. Could be solo'd but best to abseil off. Also did Sgur Mhic and joining ridge. One of my best days in the hills. Descended the scree slopes at the back down to the Lochan which was surprisingly fun and fast to get down. Great great day!scholesy13/10/2013

Staying in Glenbrittle Mountaineering hut with the Moray Mountaineers, I think the first Munro both Rog and myself completed. Waited ages to climb the In Pinn, whilst most of the club went up the Moderate side. Remember the rock being very polished and very hard to find good holds or places for your feet.thejackrustles30/08/2003

After Sgurr Alasdair & Sgurr Mhic Choinnich, traversed the screes to have a closer look at the In Pin before descending back to Glen Brittle. No intention of climbing it. However, got into a conversation with 3 blokes from Aberdeen who were abseiling the short side having just climbed it rather than the long side. They kindly offered to lend me a harness & give me a top rope up the short side and then abseil back off. Turned out to be quite easy & much less exposed. Still not keen on abseiling though! An unexpected bonus to a tough day. No view on top: the mist had swirled in.NotReallyABagger06/09/2000

On a circuit of the Coire Lagan Munros with guide Mike and a group of 8. From Glenbrittle to Sgurr Dearg, then 4 of us including me went up the E ridge and abseiled down the short side. Dry mist obscured distant views most of the time and may have made the exposure seem less terrifying than it otherwise may have felt. Enjoyable and exhilerating.pwheeler17/05/1998

Achieved only with the help of guide Colin Threlfall. He took me up the long (east) ridge. I concluded that I preferred the west ridge because there the protection was complete, whereas on the east ridge there was a risk of slipping to one side or the other. my final Skye Munro, unlike my brother Anthony and my son Jamie for whom it is their first. was very fortunate as I climbed Sgurr Dearg with no idea what the Inn Pin east ridge would look like and whether I'd feel confident about free climbing it. When I saw it I thought, 'No Way' but as I was looking at it a guy came up and said he was about to climb it and would anyone like to come up too seconding on the rope. Like an excited school kid my hand was up like a shot, 'Yes, please me me me' !!!vegibagger25/08/1996

Last Munro! (At the time. More were created in 1997.) Friends based at Camasunary used boat to drop me off nr Coruisk Memorial Hut and I walked along Loch Coruisk then up (probably) to Bh Coire na Banachdich, S to Sgurr Dearg where others were climbing Inn Pinn. I got most of the way up the long side unroped but then they took pity on me an a rope helped at one crucial point, then they abseiled me off the short side and I returned to Loch Coruisk and all the way round the shore path past the Bad Step, and had to wade the river at Camasunary (the tide was in) and come in upon my friends where we celebrated.NorfolkPT2116/08/1993
