Got completely lost getting to the start-the Bickerton Poacher pub-but after that were fine. Along the Sandstone trail to Higher Burwardsely then back along the ridge to Raw Head. Lovely walk, lovely day, great views-despite the hail and sleet!Andy

Approached from road to E of Harthill. Drove E from Harthill to about(509552) where path through wood joins road. Steeply up to sandstone caves just below ridge, then along top to summit (10 min). Sun with haze, views to Welsh border David

Just about room to park on minor dead-end road to north. If you scramble up from this side (rather than using the path) there's a large hidden cave (too deep to explore without torches. Impressively sited trig on escarpment edge.wheresthepath

Nice gentle walk up from the south having parked near the telephone box. Take care is takling this one in the dark as there are some steep drop off the path and a cave at the summit.Ted

Parked at Harthill and walked north to drop to the correct height. Returned to Harthill and walked up the track to Droppingstone Farm. Just before the farm took the ridge trail to the trig. There were fine views back to the Clwydians in strong evening sunGary
