Parked at Inveruglas Visitor Centre. Ben Vorlich and its North Tophummusg16/03/2024
From Inveruglas ferry car park: up paved road to below dam and then the well worn path to summit. Surprisingly steep. Pleasant day, rain held off despite the forecast,Lazylizzie20/08/2023
From layby opposite Ardlui station. West along road to first railway underpass where disappointed to find sign saying 'no path', so continued along very busy road to next. Headed SW uphill and surprised not to find any path- very boggy sheep pasture, steep and rocky in places. Cloud above 500m. Via Coire Creagach to summit ridge with lovely path to Trig over HP and N top. Descended via Stob na Coinnich Bhacain, which was better than expected (pathless sheep pasture)Denise 29/04/2023
from Ardlui. Frustrating hill, lots of false summits one after the other, eventually got to the top, clouds and very light snow swept across, nice views when clear. Long way down, missed the bottom bit of the path and managed to find correct underpass after going through some woodland.Cumbrianexile02/03/2023

OMC Day Meet: Parked at Inveruglas, Nicky Creadland gave me a lift, eight others there. Walked up the track to dam and up the improved path to Ben Vorlich, then I nipped over to the North Top with Dave Gordon, Richard Moore and Dave Scott. Back the same way, 07:00 all in. Sunny most if the day with clouds drifting through, bit chilly in the upper coire, but warm enough ojce on the summit ridge.chillyman824/04/2022
From Inveruglas. Up to mast using track then steep onto ridge beneath South Top. Deep snow patches. Two Simms, Munro and Munro Top. Down steep to Ardlui. With dogs, Rick, Andy, Pat and Adrian.jenx21/02/2022
3rd time---1st from Loch Sloy side. Steep and less interesting.lordtonult16/01/2022

Standard route from Inveruglas up paved road to below dam and then the well worn path to summit. Easy, but first for a while.raymooremanx30/04/2021

Solo from Inveruglas- sunny enough for shorts, and plenty of people up on Ben Vorlich and Ben Vane. Informaed a large group sitting on the North top that, to their surprise, the true summit was further along. Total time 4h 5minmproudfoot30/05/2020
A weather window gave an afternoon opportunity to climb this peak. Sunshine, clear skies but windy with high cloud. With E from car park at Inveruglas visitor centre as far as path up from track to Loch Sloy then solo. E returned to sunbathe (!) at top of pyramid-shaped An Ceann Mòr visitor centre back at Inveruglas visitor centre while I tackled steep but well improved path up into coire of Lag Dubh. Then up to rocky ridge on the western flank and broader ridge path to trig point and cairn. Another cairn about 200 metres further along, atop a small crag is the true summit. 360' views were superb and had the place to myself. So peaceful. Return same route.Beeliner04/09/2019
Somewhat unorthodox ascent via Small hills and south top. Was delighted to pick up well worn path to the top.Oh no I forgot...27/08/2019
Debs & Tali. From Ardlui. Parked opposite station underpass although sign in hotel says you can park in the compound/yard across the road. Route as per Pocket Mountains, Southern Highlands. Last bit of the descent fiddly.Mountain Goat23/06/2019
Third ascent via the Little Hills and Vorlich N Top with the Munro Society for the David Batty Memorial walk.NormanW22/06/2019
From Ardlui via Ben Vorlich North Top and returning over the Little Hills ridge. Dry day with strong wind on summit.knarf11/06/2019
Climbed from Inveruglas Vistor Centre, 5:10hrs blue skies all day.chillyman811/05/2019
Walked up from Inveruglas towards the reservoir . Pretty steep but rewarding views on the way up and at top . 1 other walker beat me by about 20 minutes. Little bits of snow still up there ..D SID11/04/2019
Standard route out and back from Inveruglas via Loch Sloy up Lag Dubh. A lovely day with one snow shower and a light dusting of snow and fierce wind at the summit. Did the north top then returned the same way. An outstanding viewpoint and now one of my favourite mountains.Chris Mac26/10/2018
SOLO. Up from Inveruglas via the Loch Sloy dam road. The weather started and ended well but rain and low cloud were the dominant. Path was steep as described but easy to follow and a few other walkers out on the hill.Buck27/08/2018
Decended Ben Vane by making our own route down heading towards the Dam. Crossed over the loch Sloy dam to ascend a vertical hard climb which had the legs screaming all the way up Ben Vorlich! No route to follow just make your own line up. amazing views.Zoe Little05/08/2018
Seven mile county top walk from Ardlui taking around five hours, the hotel is willing to let hillwalkers park in there second carpark on the other side of road but not in the main carpark. There also then handy for a post drink. The route was gentle for a top over 3000ft much better than the slog I’ve seen on YouTube going up from Loch Sloy.WAYNE ROWLETT24/07/2018

A circuit of BV's tops from Ardlui: Stob nan Coinnich Bhacain via the steepish grassy gully on the south - BV North Top - BV - BV South Top - an improvised traverse, helped by a deer track half the way to West Little Hill - East Little Hill - a descent ending in sustained wading through waist high grasses and bracken above Stuckendroin.Nick Down109/09/2017
