Ascent from South - the marked path is in excellent condition most of the way up. Couple of mild scrambling problems. Headed W as approaching summit to bypass melting snowfield. Returned same route.
High cloud so amazing views. Cold in wind on summit | wychwood | 17/02/2024 |
Solo Liathach traverse | Denise | 13/09/2023 |
Stuc a choire dhuibh bhig then over Stob a choire liath mhor to Spidean a choire leith. Over the pinnacles scrambling was fine apart from a couple of sections where I took the wrong line! Am Fasarinen then on to Mullach an Rathain. Took it easy and enjoyed being up high in glorious weather. | isabelle | 03/06/2023 |
Very very hot and a beautiful blue sky day with a gentle breeze. Took just short of 10 hours. Only regret was that I didn’t set off earlier to miss the heat of the day. Did this east to west and climbed over the An Fasarinen pinnacles grade 2 scramble. | Shinydiscoba11z | 03/06/2023 |
absolute brilliant day out weather route everything perfect! | Kevthecat | 31/05/2023 |
Climbed with Dave M, Scott & Ian J in fine but gusty conditions; poor forecast helped decide against following on with Am Fasarinen Pinnacles, indeed becoming very wet for lower descent. | barnz48 | 20/08/2022 |
Solo. Cloud clung to top, got some views. | pigerg | 22/07/2022 |

Traverse of Liathach Ridge. Sole of boot came off about half way along, which added a bit more difficulty!. Temperature inversion meant views were stunning. | jigglybones | 25/08/2021 |
Visibility was super poor. | NHumes | 10/08/2021 |
Climbed east to west, incredible views. | tomd4 | 24/08/2020 |

Glen Torridon - Stuc a’ Choire Dhuibh Bhig - Stob a’ Choire Liath Mhor - Spidean a’ Choire Leith - Am Fasarinen - Mullach an Rathain - Glen Torridon and back to eastern car park. | Mark Jackson | 29/05/2019 |
Hiked as a guided walk with Steven Fallon Guides, John King and Christine Menhennet. Planned to do both summits on Liathach, both I had a low blood sugar early on and really struggled up to Mullach an Rathain. But with Christine's encouragement I got this Munro then returned by the same route, 4:50hrs all in. Horrible clag, wind and rain above 600m, no views on top. | chillyman8 | 23/05/2019 |
Complete traverse of Liathach including Am Fasarinen from Glen Torridon. Highest UK temp of 26 centigrade for today recorded at Kinlochewe. | knarf | 15/05/2019 |

2nd munro of the day. Avoided pinnacles but enjoyed the views within Liatach as well as extensive views 360 degree. No problem reaching summit but descent tricky because of severely eroded path. Great day.Met no one but saw 3 others ahead of us. | dave neilson | 06/07/2018 |

East west traverse with Barbara Jones and her mountain guide Jim Sutherland on utterly glorious conditions. Full traverse including along the crest of the An Fasarinen pinnacles and coming of east after Mullach an Rathain but not Meall Dearg to the north, which I'd done previously in 2012. | vegibagger | 13/10/2015 |
Last of the day with GHC. The sun is trying to come out but the cloud won. Steep pull up from the ridge. | Play2End | 20/06/2015 |
Traverse with Sam, Frankie and Will. | robba_wag | 25/05/2015 |
Whole ridge with most tops | JamesSDonald | 03/10/2014 |
Third day of five-day trip with DW & SL. Classic Liathach traverse. The scrambling was easier than I expected - principally because it is is essentially ALL avoidable if you want it to be. We had an awesome day - clear weather, no wind across ridge/summits, but it was hazy. | AGWilliamson | 21/09/2014 |
Traverse of Liathach on a bright clear with view in all directions. | rhalstead | 26/06/2014 |
2nd of 2. Thankfully Tom earned a reprieve and we could just focus on walking the ridge before a honking descent path...extremely eroded and tough on the knees! 14km, 1530m, 8hr20. | bowzi | 07/06/2014 |

start of a 8 day munro bagging trip spidean coire nan clach, ruadh stac mor, spidean a choire leith, and mullach an rathain. 10 hours. | robertphillips | 05/05/2012 |
Climbed from the south directly up the path, day after dog Ben-ji lost off the the northern crags, blown by helicopter downdraught from rescue! Planned to go down into northern corrie to look for body but too cold once there on western rim and decided not to. | vegibagger | 14/04/2012 |
