Braeriach - Cairn Toul traverse ... Day one - Beautiful sunny day with some high cloud ... fantastic views! ... Had a bit of a rest at the summit at about 2.30pm ... The summit of Braeriach is a dramatic place on a clear day with epic views over the immense cliffs and across the corries to Cairn Toul and Sgor an Lochain Uaine and over to Ben Macdui looming over the Lairig Ghru.R & K31/07/2022

Cairn Toul - Braeriach traverse - Walkhighlands route for 4 munros, done in 1 dayhummusg18/07/2021
Solo traverse of the four munros west of the Lairig Ghru from the Sugarbow car park. Set off just before 5am from the Sugarbowl - Chalamain Gap to Lairig Ghru 3.5 hrs to the bothy, which was surrounded by tents. Was up on the summit of Devil's Point by 9:15am, at which point the high cloud cover started disappearing. Over to Stob Coire an t-Saighdeir and the bouldery Cairn Toul summit, then to Angel's Peak. Long walk round to Braeriach summit where there was a large herd of reindeer. Descent down from Braeriach back down to the Rothiemurchas path and then back through the Chalamain gap to return to Sugarbowl car park. 10h 13min total time.mproudfoot18/07/2021

Coire Cas car park - Sron na Lairige - Braeriach - Creag a' Chalamain - car park.Mark Jackson15/06/2021
We visited Aviemore trying to avoid the thronging crowds. We needed gear - new rucksac for me and a new sunhat for Rob. Escaping the fleshpots of Aviemore we motored up to the train car park and parked the van. We descended the heathery, peat covered, midge infested slopes to join the path leading through Chalamian Gap, created by meltwaters and rock falls over which care had to be taken to avoid falls. Once through the gap the shoulder of Braeriach came into view on the far side of the entrance to the Lairig Ghru. The climbing really started once we had crossed the Ghru’s entrance having crossed its floor. We met exhausted walkers returning from their day out. We followed the edge of the cliff tops rising over the Ghru with views of Lurcher’s Crag, Cairngorm, Ben Macdhui and the towers on Beinn Mheadoin in the distance. We had good views of Carn a Mhaim and Derry Cairngorm which we could climb the following day. Apparently minor peaks from our elevation of over 4000 feet.david.walker4009/08/2020

Just under 14 miles out and back from Sugar Bowl car park, the usual route through Chalamain Gap and up ridge onto summit, great views from the summit stretching from Lochnagar and the southern Cairngorms all the way to Morven in Sutherland, descended over Sron na Lairige summit and Creag a' Chalamain summit avoiding coming through the gap again. Sunny/high cloud all day, windy on ridge but not on summit of Braeriach, saw about 10 people, a great mountain for my 1000th hill on this website and 13th Munro.DanTrig19/06/2019

From the Sugar Bowl car park climbed Braeriach over Stob na Laurige. I was convinced by a teacher I met part way that I should do the other Munros. So I went on to Carn na Criche, The Angels Peak, Cairn Toul, Stob Coire an t Saighdeir and The Devils Point. I then went down to Corrour and the long walk North on the Lairig Ghru and back through the Chalamain Gap. The weather was warm and sunny with cloud free skies I got burnt. Wildlife included Snow Bunting, Grey Wagtail, Red Grouse, Ptarmigan a Lizard near Corrour and a Roe Deer near the Wells of Dee. Walk distance about 23 miles in 11 hours 30 minutes. Tiring but great day. The plateaux is very special in the UK hills.isabelle31/05/2017
