Parked in the (free) FC car park to the NW. Followed the wet and muddy in parts 4.8km green Vinnalls Loop over the hp. A pleasant walk with some views from the top. Overcast. With Gillian. | richard69 | 08/11/2023 |
With Mo. Parked for free near Tesco in Ludlow. Followed a Country Walking route through Mortimer Forest, and did 11.5 miles in total. Paths and tracks throughout, with bits of mud. Lovely countryside. | gbeniston | 14/10/2023 |
A fairly straightforward up and down from Vinnalls car park. We followed way markers signed Vinnalls walk to the summit. Great views to the west from the top bench towards the Radnor Forest in Wales. Not bad views south either of the Black Mountains but in other ways the views are restricted. A few people about. 131m ascent. 5th hill of the day. Earlier we bagged Burrow, Wart Hill, Hopesay Hill and Sunnyhill. Afterwards we drove around the corner and bagged Bringewood. Sunny/high cloud. | DanTrig | 19/08/2023 |
From Vinnalls car park, followed the Climbing Jack route, trail not easy to follow, in places. Warm day, haze limiting distant views, return via Mary Knoll. | Marksalop | 04/06/2023 |

A revisit after 22 years. Walked up from Richard's Castle via the old church and Hanway Common, where it briefly snowed. Soon got warmer though. It's a surprisingly good hill with extensive views east and west. Onwards to Bringewood and Mary Knoll, finishing at Ludlow. | thesweetcheat | 09/04/2022 |
From the car park to the NW | paulhilder | 23/08/2021 |
Didn't manage to get to this one when I stayed at Hergest Ridge so ticked it off today. Very uneventful - parking is clearly marked and ample (and free!) and the climb isn't very steep and there's nothing to see at the summit due to tree cover. Really spoilt by volumes of horse business causing the whole area to be overrun with flies. One to visit in the winter months for sure! | jamiequackers | 06/08/2021 |
From CP near Overton | squeegs | 14/07/2021 |
My 200th tump! From Mary Knoll. No direct route so had to weave the way via various paths. With Carla, the littlies and the Thompsons. Welcome bench at the summit with good views although partially obscured by trees. About 210m ascent. | RoguePulsar | 10/07/2021 |
