10:30, 12-16 degrees, mist then overcast, showers. Unusual avenue of enormous leylandii and disappointed not to find a well-researched explanation from Chris Pearson.Wycombe Wanderer30/09/2023
From the picnic parking area and up a few tracks to the site of the old fort. Lots of bracken and greenery hid any detail there may have been there.Peterb02/09/2023
Parked in the FC car park to the SE and followed the 3 mile red boot trail around the hill. The hp is just metres off the path in the ramparts. Very pleasant lunchtime walk. With Gillian.richard6911/08/2023

Followed the red path. Luckily it went to the top. No view.Play2End23/08/2021
Walked from Hergest Ridge - doable but an almight hike with some very overgrown footpaths. If you can avoid Mortimer's Trail do; otherwise thick trousers and long sleeves and mind the nettles at head height! Not much to see from the summit due to tree cover but couple living near the top friendly and pointed me in the right direction on yet another overgrown path. Walk from the south to the summit through woods is a decent gradient but a beautiful walk - very cooling in summer too.jamiequackers17/07/2021

Parking at FC CP SO359621. WNW up forest track but beware taking the 1st L on the Red waywarked route, clockwise - it loses height, meanders about aimlessly, leaves one guessing at junctions and is a horse churned mudfest in places. Going anti-clockwise would be a better navigational approach to the hill fort area and to identify the highest point.Isbjorn14/04/2021
Parked at car park and walked up path through woodlandketzster22/06/2020
With Shobdon, loop from hill fort car park. Very hot, but some light showers. Badly stung by nettles on footpaths, wearing shorts. Very slow progress as clearing nettles with stick etc. Rounsfell15/06/2020
