Difficult to make a decent walk here. Parked at Plump Hill and walked to the Radio towers south of the main road before crossing back after a bit of the Wysis Way. Enjoyed the high point and viewpoint, before getting hopelessly stuck in the disused quarry area of Ruardean Hill plantation. avoid. Better still just do a drive by. | gbeniston | 26/06/2023 |

5 Marilyns from base in Ludlow. Aconbury Hill, Garway Hill, Ruardean Hill, May Hill, and Seager Hill. Ruardean Hill was almost a drive by, Seager Hill was a bit of a nettle fest. The other three made the day. | Longwojo | 10/06/2023 |
Parked outside cricket club, trig over the road in a fenced area, small stone marker for highest point in forest of dean, then down spout lane to pan tod beacon, memorial and statue, super easy 5 mins | Tribal2er | 05/03/2023 |

Fab views to the north. Parking. | Play2End | 09/04/2022 |
Car service in Tewkesbury, so persuaded Shaky into driving around 4 Gloucestershire & Herefordshire Marilyns for the day. Glorious weather. After May Hill, Ruardean Hill was next. A nondescript hill in every way except that it was Marilyn #600 for me. Parked at the sports club. The decrepit trig is now in a fenced off area of land up for sale. Settled for the high point over the road & then pushed off for better hills. | NotReallyABagger | 22/02/2022 |
Quick walk from the social club to the high spot but also out to the viewpoint with the memorial to the miners. Gorgeous sunny quiet morning. | nickywood1 | 11/02/2022 |
Parked at the sports club (Cricket Club on Google maps) and made the ascent from there. | paulhilder | 05/12/2021 |

I don't like to drive to the summit, but not possible to arrange an interesting route up to here. Enjoyed May Hill a lot more. | davechaffey | 13/09/2021 |
Non eventful - pulled up by the Ruardean Hill Cricket Club, had a 10 minute wander about the place and off. | jamiequackers | 16/07/2021 |
parked sports club high point and tp through fence to rear | underhill | 28/06/2021 |
After an excellent walk from Goodrich to English Bicknor via Coppet Hill, Huntsham Hill and Yat Rock hillfort. A bit of a rushed walk between buses, up from Ruardean using the footpath from Turner's Tump (good views on this ridge) up to the summit (not such good views) then dropped down to Drybrook and on to Mitcheldean to get another bus. A bit of a shame to rush this final Gloucestershire Marilyn, but a good end to a fine day out. | thesweetcheat | 11/06/2021 |
From Brierley on main road. Chauffeuse waiting at top. | IanHHill | 21/05/2021 |

Parked at sports centre and walked across the road to the stone marker. The easiest Marilyn! Solo. Trig is completely fenced off at the moment but is obviously lower. | Dangerous Dave | 05/01/2020 |

Parked at sports hall and wandered across to the high point marker. Planning permission notice on enclosed compound where the trig is for a detached house. Walked through a gap in the fencing to visit the trig | Jephcote83 | 21/09/2019 |

Parked at Sports Club. High Point and trig. | NormanW | 17/07/2019 |
Short walk to summit from sports club, as per other descriptions. Slightly ironic that the extraordinarily small (but no doubt pricey) marker of the highest point of the Forest of Dean is visibly not quite at the highest point. | wheresthepath | 11/07/2019 |
Little London - Nottwood Hill - Huntley Hill - Bright's Hill - May Hill - Hobbs - Breakheart Hill - Wigpool Common - Ruardean Hill - Edge Hills - Pool Hill - Mitcheldean. | Mark Jackson | 22/06/2019 |

Easiest summit yet. Summit mark by small stone pillar. | AlanD | 18/09/2017 |
