A short circuit on the way home from Dorset.islamidget29/09/2023
My last English Marilyn. From the car park to the summit, then a bit of a wander along the drovers road to the Beacon, through the cows and calves and across to the drovers road, then back again.JulieB18/07/2023
One of the easiest bags, just a short stroll from the carpark, and good views to boot.milimana17/05/2023

Sturminster Newton Hike (Cox Hill, Bleax Hill, Melbury Hill and Win Green) - 46kPhilipChaston04/04/2021
Parked in the nearby carpark and a brief walk to the summit. Note that the road to the carpark is more pothole than road so park elsewhere if you have a sports car! Walked down to Lower Win Green and then back round in a nice loop. Gorgeous weather and could clearly see the art installation at Long Knoll - and was happy to explain it to some other walkers peering at it trying to work it out.jamiequackers26/11/2020
On a sunny day on the way back from a holiday in Cornwall & Somerset with J. Brief walk up from the car park & a fine view. Never have I seen a field so full of cow pats. The pats in the trees were even worse because they blended in with the colour of the ground...NotReallyABagger07/10/2020

Five minute bag from NT carpark. Misty morning but beautiful all the same.Longwojo23/10/2019
8.7 mile circular from Melbury Abbas, walked along White Pit Lane and took track across private land to access land, climbed hillside then into private fields on Breeze Hill, from this accessed Ox Drove track and followed this to road junction and Win Green, great views from top stretching south to Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight, from here briefly retraced steps then followed the Melbury Down access land where there is a trail and map, we followed this up onto Melbury Hill, then descended back to car. Very lucky with the weather, we managed to do this walk in 4 hours of dry weather before it poured it down. Earlier that day bagged Hambledon Hill and Hod Hill, afterwards bagged Duncliffe Hill.DanTrig09/10/2019
With Jo, from NT cp on a blustery, showery morning.amblerbob27/09/2019
14.30 at least third visit. Rather glorious circular path of beech trees on summit that didn't suffer the same devastation in the great storm of October 1987 that Chactonbury ring did.vegibagger22/08/2019
5.4m circular walk from Tollard Royal. Visited high point in trees and trig. Drink at pub in Tollard Royal at the end just as the rain came in.Jephcote8326/05/2019

2/5 Walked across the grass from the car park to bag Win Green during a circuit of 5 Marilyns in South Central England on a sunny day.silveracorn_alan29/10/2018
More like it after the Long Knoll disgrace. Short walk across common to summit under a clump of trees. Even a benign herd of cattle to match.Topographer5702/10/2018
6 mile walk from Berwick St John, out via Ferne, back via Winkelbury KeithByTheC08/09/2018
From B3081 take a minor road northwards towards Ludwell. Take first turning on right along rough stone By-Way to NT car park. Information board at gate that leads to path and 300m flat walk to the trig point, orientation pillar and the copse beyond. In good weather, this must be a contender for the easiest Marilyn with the most expansive views. On my day, low cloud and steady rain limited visibility. With Sue and Meg.Dartmoorman11/08/2018
Parked in Win Green car park. Beautiful sunny day, could see for miles.Hippy7727/05/2018

2/5 Marilyns today. Out and back from car park. Lots of SOTA guys there.SS05/02/2017
Certainly an easy top to bag but more interesting if you catch bus route 29 from Salisbury and walk from Berwick St John via bridleways. I didn't realise that we English are fortunate enough to still have villages such as this.trimarc224/11/2016
