Walk 7.3KatyT11/05/2023
Combined Nuttall walks 7.3 and 7.4: Parked at Milltir Garreg walked down the road 200 yards and picked up footpath most of the way, then final trudge through heather to summit. Retraced footsteps, the up the road to bag Post Gwyn. Followed boardwalks and hard to find quad bike track to Bryn Gwyn then heather slog to summit of Post Gym. Unseasonably warm November day. Finished just before dark.Lazylizzie13/11/2022

Parked on the boundary of Powys near Milltir Gerrig and followed the path (boardwalk in places) to a obvious high flat area where the path goes between rock to find a ATV track that can be followed to the base of the hill between the two high points, from here its a quick climb to the summit, returned the same way. Just over Four and half mile in Two hours.WAYNE ROWLETT23/07/2022

Arrived at the Pistyll Rhaeadr car park at 0930, all free places were taken up so would arrive earlier if you want to grab a place otherwise its £5 to park. Starting point is 125-073295. There is a small gate close to the cafe, make your way through this to the falls, here is a great photo opportunity from off the bridge. From there go right up through the Beech trees and through two more gates heading up the valley. After the second gate take a left and ascend the steep path. Follow the path to the left above the falls where a waymark indicates left to view the falls, the route to the hills continues up the valley on a grassy path which is straight forward. I stayed to the right of the river Afon Disgynfa, the path does fade out but you can just make it out. After going past the two valleys on your right and the second small river, head left across the river and follow the sheep path up the hill, this area was quite boggy going up. When you reach the top, go left heading for the rockBuckleymon18/03/2022
Milltir Gerrig summit - Bryn Gwyn - Post Gwyn - Bryn Gwyn - Milltir Gerrig.Mark Jackson29/10/2021
Three separate walks in one day: Foel Cwm-Sian LLwyd; Post Gwn; and Glan-hafon. Separate reports for each summit. For Post Gwyn started at County boundary and followed the track and board walk to 500m past the cairn as suggested below. Did not work out, it swung away to the east so took to sheep trods until picked up a better track 3/4 of way to summit. Took this track on the way back, very good most of the way but it gave out about 200 metres short of the bard walk so it would not be easy to find on way in. But overall heather was not too bad and there were sheep trods.dickscroop29/09/2021

From high point on road. Turned off main path near cairn. Mist and murk! With B and R.jenx13/12/2020
A really hard slog from Milltir Gerrig. Followed Moel Sych path to cairn and beyond to area with pond on 1:25k, then slogged SE across heather and bog, found no paths at all. Fog and snow patches.AndrewP10/12/2020
Nuttall walkDan Baddeley12/09/2020
As Dewi Prysor. From road (at Milltir Gerrig), path and boardwalk to cairn. About 500m beyond (just before a short drop), ATV track goes right. Takes you most of the way to Post Gwyn; boggy, but no heather bashing. 2 hours return.PGCE20/08/2020
From B4391 (SJ017305) via Bryn Gwyn. A board walk path heading for the main Berwyn ridge can be used at first before having to cut off through heather and tussock. Interesting summit after the hard work with trig, shelter, two large cairns and reasonable view.Neil Midgley15/09/2019
Parking space for a few cars at SJ 118 306. Round of Mynydd Tarw, Foel Wen, Cadair Bronwen, Moel yr Henfaes, Cadair Berwyn, Moel Sych, Post Gwyn, Moel Poethion, Godor. Descended through fields to track at SJ 110 302. Couple of farmers by the sheepfold didn't seem unduly concerned by our presence.Geoff Briggs01/09/2019

From Bryn Gwyn and trudge through the sponge and mist back to start.Wycombe Wanderer23/11/2018
Parked high on road then track of sorts to duck-boarding which you should leave near obvious cairn to tackle the horrid heather to Bryn Gwyn a P12.7 before the two top of Post Gwyn.Dugswell223/11/2018
Morning walk to Post Gwyn from Llangynog and along Cwm Glan-hafon. (PM walk to Foel Cwm Sian Llwyd).knarf19/10/2018
Up from the road and back down via the farmer's fields rather than the tussocks and heather.Eddie24/08/2018
Solo. After bagging Foel Cwm Sian Llwyd I parked by Milltir Garreg ond B4931, then followed well maintained path (some sleepers etc) east to tall cairn marked on map. Then continued east untill path splits, where I turned south. Path (made by quad bike) rounds wet area and makes easy walking through what is otherwise very heavy going through heather. Reached Post Gwyn easily, then returned to parked van. Hot day, clouds of aggressive flies swarming. But enjoyable. Left parked van at 4.50pm, reached summit at 5.40.Dewi Prysor06/08/2018
13.2 mile walk from Pistyll Rhaeadr, climbed up path by Nant Y Llyn then followed dried up stream onto the ridge (very rough), went out and back to Godor, then followed ridge over Moel Yr Ewig and lovely trail up face of Cadair Berwyn above the almost dried up tarn, joined ridge up to Cadair Berwyn summit (2nd time) and onto along to Moel Sych (2nd time), then descended path south onto Trum Felen ridge, then cut down the side on grass to footbridge over Afon Disgynfa, climbed on grass then hideous heather to Post Gwyn, then followed ridge pathless but fairly easy terrain all the way to Glan-Hafon (have to cross several fences on ridge one with barbed wire), then descended down lane and path to Pistyll Rhaeadr. Started walk in cloud, but got sunnier as the day went on and very hot, storm clouds towards end, didn't see anyone throughout: 6hrs 35.DanTrig13/07/2018
Followed the Nuttall's route to Post Gwyn but turned up the hill too soon, seduced by a path which looked pretty good. Needless to say it disappeared eventually and it was all through heather and bilberry from then on. Fortunately not the worst by any means. Then did an out and back to Bryn Gwyn before taking a direct route to Glan-hafon which I thought a nicer hill. Returned to pick up the standard Nuttall's decent to the falls.Herbert Anchovy24/06/2018
Continued from Bryn Gwyn, also very soggy underfoot. As a contrast the summit area was very pleasant. Small cairn seemed higher than big one.Aye Jimmy28/05/2018

After yesterday's failure, used John Gillham's route B15 starting at Pencraig SJ046,274. Good track to about half way, then horrendous wet bog trot. Added Bryn Gwyn for good measureCrib Goch15/04/2016
Failed attempt from Milltir Gerrig. Boardwalk section was fine, but the prospect of a mile across heather, tussocks and a foot of standing water was too much. Succeeded with a better route next day.Crib Goch14/04/2016
